No morning skate today so the lineup is unclear, other than presumably Swayman in net.

I wonder if they try to get Studnicka in as he's the only player yet to play. Craig Smith barely played last night so maybe he or Foligno comes out to give Studnicka an opportunity. Defensively, Grzelyck is on the clock. Last week Monty said he'd be surprised if Grzelyck didn't return by next weekend, so that would mean tonight or Thursday.

Stralman's also got some sort of visa situation going on today. I'm not sure of the whole procedure but as part of it he had to apply or file outside of the US and they were planning on doing that today. I'm not sure if once that's done he becomes eligible or if there's more governmental red tape to go through before getting his visa.

Would be nice to take Smith out as a lesson on don't do a spin move at the offensive blue line and an opposing player on top you with you while being the last Bruin's player before the goalie. Luckily he didn't get his pocket picked for a breakaway chance.

Per Matt Porter over the weekend, Montgomery had planned to get Studnicka in this week:
Montgomery doesn’t want another young player, Jack Studnicka, sitting too long. He noted the Bruins are soon to play their first three-in-four run of the season (Monday against Florida, Tuesday at Ottawa, Thursday against Anaheim). Studnicka is likely to dress in that stretch.
It would be nice to get Studnicka’s feet wet (and keep Lauko humming along too) but it’s even money between tonight’s game and Thursday.

Porter is pondering the same things today :
For me, Bruins’ main lineup questions are at RW. Do you play Studnicka on the back-to-back? How’s DeBrusk’s hand/wrist today? Would a night off help Smith? Hard to mess with a winning lineup but B2B with travel could be a spot to get Studnicka in.
@mattyports
At this point in the day, I suppose would be a surprise if Stralman (visa issues) played tonight, but Renouf didn’t disappoint in last night’s debut. Will get clarity in a few hours.

I was wondering if Stralman might be able to play in Canada even if he hasn’t gotten his US work visa yet. I bet they wait to put Gryz in until they’re back at home. Also didn’t really notice Renouf out there last night. That’s a good thing. More good depth.

According to AHL transactions, Dan Renouf was returned to Providence today by Boston. Appears to point to Anton Stralman in lineup tonight in Ottawa

Studnicka weeps, Smith simmers. But I like those lines.

(Studnicka will get his chance at some point and I hope he capitalizes. But Nosek has been solid so far so Studnicka may have to play wing for a bit even though I’d like the B’s to develop him at center).

Good to have Stralman in the mix.

Goalie hug please.

After three games, the only forwards without a goal are Nosek, Lauko and Smith. Mighty impressive.

Welcome, Anton, and keep it rolling.

I'm listening to the Ottawa broadcast and the color guy, whoever he is, was arguing how the player was just trying to gain position so the goal should count. My advice to that young man is that if being an NHL commentator does not work out that I hear OAN has an opening.

At least for me the TV guys had one guy saying "you'll call me a goalie hugger, but that shouldn't count"...
Yeah, that former Flames backup goalie Jamie MacLennan. He can be a little of a pan Canadian homer, but he’s also a pretty committed member of the Goalie Union.

Nice to see that tripping call as the Bruins were victimized by it yesterday a couple of times...
