In retrospect, not sure I watched like 150 games in 2004 after 2003 ended. This feels similar. Hopefully it ends similar too.

There’s no way to know for sure that Udoka would have had the team running if he didn’t get suspended, but it’s obviously a point of emphasis under Joe Mazzulla.

As it should be. When they push pace and attack the hoop they are the best team in the NBA. When they get caught playing half court, they are a lot more average

It is helpful that after all these years Embiid still doesn't have enough wind. He walked up on that possession and stood at the top of the key. That forced the Sixers to run the play through Harris. Harris missed the shot and there was no chance at rebound for Philadelphia, since Embiid never made a move toward the basket. He basically took the possession off to catch his breath.

That's why the fast pace against the Sixers in the first half will pay off in the second half. Wear out the big fellow.

Next game here C’s need to present Embiid with a slab of parquet since he loves spending so much time there.

Yeah, I can't remember if it was here or elsewhere the discussion about Embiid as a top-5 guy came up, and the above was my point: I just don't believe you can win a title with him unless he gets fully in shape, which is a thing we've literally never seen. He's still hugely impactful, but he can't keep it up all game.

Brown is one of those players who is either on or off but he looks a little…..more ‘easy’ tonight? Very encouraging this far

Each of Harden and Embiid crying to the refs rather than getting back on defense during that sequence.

Maybe not Embiid, but Harden was 3rd in the league in minutes per game last season, and he looks fit and motivated this year.
Harden has looked good tonight. But he doesn't play a lot of defense to begin with...
