Valdez is still in? Is Dusty trying to relive his experience of destroying the arms of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior?

The reliever says Call me when you want, Dusty, call me when you need.

will Dusty listen?

Framber was great. His only mistake was walking the lead-off hitter in the first instead of giving up a home run.

Valdez is just elite. ALCS last year, ALCS this year, had two had games in the World Series last year but now this.

No one will ever convince me that he’s not getting a little bit of “help” out there, but that’s mostly residual bitterness from last years ALCS.

He really, really struggled early in the year, and his overall numbers look bad, but I think he was called up a little bit before he was ready. His quality at bats, along with his solid defense (eye test, haven't looked at the numbers), make him pretty close to must watch for me at this point. It's also the biggest reason I think Philly is not a likely destination for Xander, as some have speculated.
