tampa is going to make the playoffs at 7-10 unless atl beat them in week 18

brady has 4 choices next year
1 back with tampa
2 goes to NYG
3 goes to SF
4 goes to vegas
The Giants would not be interested. Daboll and Schoen would resign Daniel Jones if they're sticking with a veteran QB rather than pursuing the more likely course of a total teardown. Unlike those other three teams on that list, they're not a "we have everything but the QB" team.

I think it will take Brady multiple bad seasons to retire. He'll try to not end on a bad note until it slaps him in the face he won't be getting better.
I agree. It’s probably killing him that his head isn’t completely in the game with everything else that’s going on in his life. He’s also missed time with the team, setting a bad example as leader and taking time away from them being able to gel. Next year he’ll be the first one back to camp in SF or wherever.

I haven’t watched every snap this season, but from what I have seen Brady looks off. Granted the entire team is off, but a bunch of his throws Thursday night were just terrible.

He looks much worse now than he did in 2019 to me. I mean that year we started 8-0 despite his constant grimacing at receivers. 3-5 is a different kettle of fish.

He’s certainly better than what the Pats got at QB, but he doesn’t look good to me.
I have watched almost ever snap of the year and watched him while he was in New England.

He’s probably worse than he was in 2019 but the comparison to 2015 Peyton is laughable. He’s still a good QB. He has no trust in the interior OL right now, his receivers have been hurt so the time to gain chemistry has been majorly curbed. I think that he finishes the season out well.

The Bucs on the other hand are kind of a trash fire. Bowles and Leftwich are overmatched and they have a ton of injuries. I think they make the playoffs and get bear the 1st round, even if Brady is still a good QB

I could definitely see him trying another location, like SF. Will he really labor in Tampa for 2-3 more years? I’m skeptical. His Patriots departure was allegedly driven by wanting to get away from Belichick but also because he didn’t see a path to relevance either.
Oh, he’s leaving Tampa. I still think it’s Miami, though suddenly the Jets might make sense. He has reached the old man dick pics stage of his career, after all.

Sorry, I responded to you but that should have said “others comparing him to 2015 Peyton”.

Had no issue with your post at all, that’s why I replied to it

Keep your eyes on David Carr. Someday the Raiders will finally move on from him and will want a name to draw attention to their city. The team around Brady is a sh*tshow and while maybe some of this can be attributed to Brady’s sideshow the individual player can still play this game at a fairly high level.

Is New England really unthinkable as a 2023 destination for TB12?

He's beloved up here by the fan base and by Bob Kraft. He has repeatedly acknowledged how Belichick and he were a great team. And as for BB, all he cares about is winning and if he feels Brady can give him a better shot at that as he makes his final run at Shula, he won't hesitate.

It's not unthinkable Mac could benefit from a couple years playing behind TB12.
I think that if Brady saw the Pats as "only him" away from another SB then he would be willing come back. But I'd guess that it looks more like 2019 to him, and he's not coming back for that.

Also, he's 45 and may not be coming back at all.

What about Derek Carr though?

A few pages back (pre-divorce) there was talk about if any of his records will be touched due to his longevity. ESPN has this piece up since it seems likely that Brady will be the first player to cross 100,000 yards passing this Sunday against the Rams (regular and post season).

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34925793/tom-brady-nears-100k-passing-yards

"Let's begin with the most realistic candidate: Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He could reach the 100,000-yard mark by age 41. All he would have to do is continue averaging 18.3 games per season and 300 passing yards per game for the next 14 seasons."

Brady with 50+ passes is now 19-8.

Warren Moon was 5-3. Carr is 4-2. McNabb 4-2. Jeff Garcia is 2-1.

All other QBs are well under .500, and I think the average is very low.

Bledsoe is 4-8
Flacco is 3-15
Brees and Peyton are each 4-13
Eli is 2-8
Some others:

Patrick Mahomes: 2-2
Russell Wilson: 0-2
Josh Allen: 0-2
Aaron Rodgers: 3-6
Ben Roethlisberger: 4-10
Justin Herbert: 0-3
Dan Marino: 5-9
Joe Montana: 2-3

Game manager, my ass.

I am wondering who is claiming Tom Brady is a game manager.
Think it was just a reference to the people who did during the 2001-2004 dynasty era. Obviously, 2007 shot that out of the water for any final holdovers.

It's my chance to get back at those that claimed Brady was a "game manager" during the first Super Bowl trifecta. It was clearly and obviously a tongue-in-cheek comment, because nobody outside of Chris Simms actually thinks that in real life.

Bitcoin dropping 13% today is adding to Brady's rough year. Tom and Gisele had aggressive positions there.

Yeah but did they actually invest their own money or were they paid in equity to be ambassadors for the company? I read that article, and it only talks about being compensated in equity while not mentioning any additional out of pocket investment, but they could have.

The odds Brady and Giselle put all their money into FTX is absurd in every way possible. What a stupid clickbait that is.

The cap table indicates they are angel investors and doesn't list an amount. So my guess would be their compensation was equity.

I wonder if late edits were needed to remove any references to Giselle

Eh, it's a movie for old ladies which just uses Tom Brady as a backdrop. I would not expect this movie to be up 99% of SOSH's alleys, mine included.
Nonsense. There are stacks of films I love even though I am not in the ‘target market’ for them. Likewise, there are even bigger stacks of films I hate despite being in their target market.

The world’s not gonna end, just like it didn’t when ‘The Bucket List’ and ‘Space Cowboys’ were released, but this looks like a classic direct to video/streaming only quality release.

(1) These days, that's every non-superhero movie. (2) What were your expectations for this one? It's not a Terrance Malick movie.

I don't care how bad it is... anything that puts that Super Bowl back in my mind is fine by me.

Expectations? I forgot this movie was even in production, so I had none until someone sent me the trailer this morning. What are they now that I’ve seen it? Low.

I think I understand what you’re getting at, but - getting back to the post I responded to - my point was that this looks bad and I don’t think that because I’m not an 80 year old woman. Hell, I’m not sure 80 year old women will think this looks good.

That being said, I agree that this movie existing is just fine solely on the basis that it glorifies SB51. It’s the ‘Fever Pitch’ principle.

WTF, people? It’s got 2/3 of the 9-To-5 cast doing edibles and Gronk leering at women 50+ years his senior. It’s set at Super Bowl 51 and Tom Brady is playing football wearing a goddamn Patriots jersey. Please adjust your priorities accordingly.

Seriously. I'm going to get high as shit and watch this in the theatre and probably love every minute of it.
