Saying on the local post game show that Trey Lance could still be back some time this year.
Kyle Shanahan just said no to this on his post game presser.
I was at the game today. Here are a couple of thoughts:
Purdy acquitted himself very well - he did not lot look like the last pick in the draft.
A little bit of mobility, good coaching, and good skill players go a long way for a QB.
Hill - he is amazingly fast. Like it is just crazy to watch live.
Tua - other than Hill make some amazing plays. I really excpeted a lot more from him. I know the 49ers defense is probably the best in the league, but Tua did not look anything like a MVP candidate.

This is the most Kyle Shannahan thing to happen. Draft a QB because the existing QB has a huge injury risk - they all get hurt. Fuck this sucks.
I think Brock Purdy is about to prove that if you give a guy enough weapons, an average QB can be just fine. And SF has a shit ton of weapons. Came in today and went 25/37 for 210 yards, 2td's, 1 pick.

He is still an open Q. First decent D I think he has played since injury. Had Pitt, Lions, Bears, Browns, Houston before today.

I was at the game. I wholeheartedly endorse this. Even his interception was a 50/50 ball (poorly thrown) but as good as a punt. He missed some throws, but he also had some drops. I really thought he was much more highly regarded coming out of the draft. I am guessing he really didn't improve much after his first full year as a starter (I think 2019 where he threw 27 TDs and had a rating over 150). He was great a freshman also.

Kearse is such a good last name for an athlete.
My all time favorite athlete names are:

Usain Bolt - I mean, that name for the fastest man in the world? It's perfect.
Adonis Jordan - former solid college basketball player. All-time first name to go along with the last name of the GOAT in basketball history.

where I was last at
That TD reminds me of the guy stealing 2nd, called safe but his leg is off the bag by a micrometer and he's called out. Lambs ass was in the neighborhood. But rulz iz rulz.

That would be quite an accomplishment. More than likely the League will catch up to him pretty quickly. But it will be interesting to watch. NFC seems pretty wide open. Both Min and Phi are good but beatable. Dal always shoots itself in the dick in the playoffs. TB has TB, but they have been so bad for large stretches and their O-line is falling apart. Up for grabs.

Late to the thread:

from 1:00 pm: Amazing what that one pass did to DangerRuss legacy. If they win that game he has two Super Bowls and all this super corny, fake, look at me behavior would be just background noise. Now it’s in the first paragraph of his career summary. Even further what’s to say if they win that game they don’t have more than 2 SB’s. That play broke that team on the spot. Never fully recovered. If they win that game they have back to back SB’s over Manning and Brady, who knows how that story ends.

The Jets QB needs are obvious, but their roster is very young and very good otherwise. They are 7-5, and most say 9-3, or 10-2 with even competent qb play, I think they would be a minimum of 8-4, or 9-3 even if Wilson was the starting qb throughout IF they didn’t lose Brece Hall. He was electric. Potential home run every time he touched the ball. He was a huge injury for that team.

Indy has Vikings, Chargers, Giants, Texans left. That Texans-Colts finale should really be something.

Not for nothing, but once the Eagles clearly demonstrates that they were going to bottle up Henry, Vrabel pretty much seemed to say “well, I got nothing. Let’s move on to next week.”
Henry’s been bottled up pretty good last month or so. Only 2.8 YPC. Vrabel needs to figure something out but they just don’t have the pieces. And now Treylon is concussed.
