I think Chelsea needs some more hybrid winger/striker/attacking midfielder types. Until they can field 11 of those guys, I’m not sure I see them competing.

Looking like hard work for Liverpool. If they don't score first i worry for them. Chelsea look like they came, with confidence, for three points. As we say in Scotland. get intae them Liverpool.

Gakpo has't really done much yet in a Liverpool shirt. I can't lay too much blame at his feet, cos the whole team is struggling but man Liverpool need some quality in attack today.

Lewis Hall had been playing decently at left back recently, but today at his supposedly correct position as a CM he’s been quite poor. Wonder if he comes out, Mount drops back to midfield and Mudryk comes in at winger at some point.

Neither side looking particularly dangerous. At least the Liverpool midfield isn’t being overrun. Bajetic has looked fine. (Despite the bogus yellow .. which probably means Fabinho sooner than later). Keita uneven ..couple of nice passes but several giveaways.

Suspect Nunez for Gapko at 60’ as they dearly need his energy. I’d like to see Nunez on the left, Salah though the middle and Elliot on the right.

The drop in level compared to the cup finals these teams played against each other last year is wild. Half of both squads are obviously injured but still.

This really should be a good match for Nunez. A scrappy goal off a turnover or raw determination wins it for either side.

Plus 1 to getting Nunez up the middle. Salah seems to be getting into some good positions , but there's precious little in the middle for him to work with.

If it's gonna be a messy goal Nunez might be the guy cos he does rough things up. I'll take a rebounded OG at this point. A shin a thigh i don't care.

Credit to Robbo, he does try and impose his will on the game but like Salah he can only do so much.

Well .. glass half full … clean sheet and a decent defensive performance. But outside of the push after the restart there just wasn’t much there.

Murdryk looks a player for Chelsea. He better given the investment.

It's gotten so bad I don't even check the start times anymore. Good one to miss everything but the last 20 mins, sounds like the "it can't get any worse" midfield stopped leaking possession so easily. Fabinho missed a couple unmissable tackles after coming on to continue his form

Bajcetic was pretty decent again until he tired and was replaced. Keita’s touch was rough early but he grew into the game as well. Thiago remains the most indispensable player on the team. If he gets hurt, we can all stop watching. Midfield was certainly better than recent performances but that’s not exactly a high bar.

it looked to me that Liverpool were pressing less and focusing on staying compact. To do that at Anfield is really pretty nuts, but at least they didn’t concede. They also didn’t create.

If Klopp is going to dial back the press in favor of compact, tight defending, then I really it needs to be a 4-diamond-2 shape with Salah & Nunez at the top & Thaigo at the 10. At least get your 3 dynamic attackers into central spaces.

Almost a third goal for West Ham. Best thing about Everton are the yellow kits. They can't clear the first man with their own crosses. This could be the year they go down. We've said it before and they always make it out in time, but they are terrible at the moment.

Bowen 2x from in the six yard box after Evertons 532 fails to close down.

Lampard has no identity, no ideas, nothing more to get out of this squad.

But the fish rots from the head.
