The league arbitrarily decided that OL holding doesn’t happen anymore but will call a bullshit penalty to decide the game like that. It’s a joke.

For those of you who may have tuned out, they just invoked The Bloody Sock Game.

The rules clearly state “if ball is thrown by Sir Mahomes and the foul would benefit his stat sheet - then thusly the call shall heretofore be called in favor of Sir Mahomes”
Or it was holding before the ball was even throw, so whether it was catchable is irrelevant.

The officials had gone 58 minutes without making themselves the story after so much weird officiating all playoffs.

I’m with Mike Reiss. Why can’t we ever have a big game where it is not a story?

It’s actually not fair to the Chiefs either. They will watch replays of that game for years now and have to rationalize that call every time. I mean, I guess they won’t really care, but shit. Everyone gets cheated.

Any chance Reid retires? Beating Philly is a hell of a way to go out for him. He turns 65 next month.

Andy Reid beat Philly with good clock management at the end. Full circle shit.
For whatever random reason i'm in defend Andy Reid mode, I guess because he gets so much shit around here. He is one helluva coach and that offensive design in the 2nd half was just brilliant (and, yes, I know he's had time management issues).

Throwing that flag was like calling an offensive foul on the Bulls when Jordan made his last Bulls shot. Let them play. This was awful. They literally gave Mahomes a ring.

If this was 4 or 5 years ago and that had just happened to the Pats, you’d be able to hear my head exploding from the opposite side of the country.

The amazing thing is this one call surpasses the comprehensively awful officiating in the Steelers/Seahawks SB.

I’m a non-Eagles fan in Philadelphia and this is about the worst possible outcome. Instead of blaming themselves for the Hurts turnover that led to a TD, inability of Watkins to haul in that great long pass from Hurts in the 3rd, or their coaching staff’s inability to do anything to slow the KC offense, I’m going to have to listen to them (justifiably) point to that abysmal holding call. What a stinker of an ending.

Andy Reid is an offensive genius. If he did decide to retire, it would be a heck of a way to go out. I mean if BB didn't exist, Reid would maybe be the best current coach in the NFL.

As others have said, they denied us a dramatic ending with that BS call. They literally took it from a top five or ten super bowl to about twentieth. It’s somewhere below Broncos - Packers.

It will be insufferable at the Capitol tomorrow.
