This is a bottom 5 in MLB type of pitching performance today so far. How we can't figure it out for a decade+ now I don't know.
Can someone explain to me the vitriol toward O'Brien? I've always liked him. He seems perfectly fine and non-controversial. Of course, I'm a 52 year-old white guy.

Absolutely. Offense is almost putting it together out there today in tough conditions.
He doesn't stop talking and he rarely says anything interesting or useful. He literally just reads stats sometimes. He adds nothing to the game but noise. Mostly it's simply his inability to ever shut up, like even for a few seconds.
The Orsillo love always cracks me up since so many people here HATED him years ago.
Yea, I hated him at first strictly because he replaced Orsillo. But now I find him wholly inoffensive. He’s not fun to listen to like Eck, Remy, or Orsillo, but he’s fine
You're definitely right in his demo, but to answer your question one of his biggest failings is that he has no chemistry with his partners. When they have a good sense of humor like Eck or Youk he tries to match their humor and he's simply a dull guy who's not funny. He also has a weird obsession with RBI.
I never quite got that. I think people hated the chuckle fests, but over 162 games it was kinda nice to listen to some fun every so often.
I'm not one to make proclamations for game 1, but I'm very very confident that Brasier sucks ass.
