It hasn't been mentioned yet, but less than a full inning into his debut Merloni sounds like he belongs in the NESN booth.

Pitch totally in Arroyo's kitchen for a feeble pop-up, though the infield collision had some entertainment value.
He was definitely in the booth during ST, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned earlier that this is his first game of the season.
Watching the Angels broadcast today. We are normally blacked out for all California teams but the Angels have the Bally Sports West on our cable package so I get to watch the games. They are very SoCal Mellow on their broadcasts.
Arroyou makes a nice play to his right. More reason to question if Casas keeps track of the outs it seems.
OK, I (and the Red Sox) was wrong about Chang. The WBC seems like a loooooooooooong time ago. Don't say I persist in error! (Not always, anyway.)
If you pay attention, he is always looking to do something, anything, all the time. It looks weird in the field, but it seems to work for him.
In his at bats he is looking to swing on nearly every single pitch, but has incredible bat control. Seriously, the bat comes off his shoulder to the point of being a check swing on every pitch, and I have no idea how he is able to lay off of bad pitches as well as he does.
He is quirky, but it has gotten this far. I don't want him to change now.
I logged in at 4:30 or so. Seemed like a high scoring game was in the offing. . .not so much now.
