I've never seen such apathy in a playoff game when down in the series.

Game's not out of reach yet, Celts can run any team up and down out of the league, keep it closer for the half and come out running.
You mean except the dozen or so times he's driven in the last 2 games and either got a layup or a kick out for a good shot out of it?
Miami is playing great but you can’t tell me with a straight face that this isn’t an epic, epic collapse by this Celtics team. The title favorite shouldn’t be going down 3-0 against the 8 seed. “Fake” 8 seed or not. Something is rotten.
Assuming there’s not some massive shift tonight or after, the season can’t end like this without major changes. Coach/Marcus/Jaylen trade all need to be considered and something must be done one way or the other. This isn’t a “run it back” progress report anymore with this team. Expectations should be higher, and I’m guessing Wyc agrees.
To be fair, if Joe called a timeout every time the heat scored like 7 straight points he’d be out before the start of the second quarter
That team won't come out against the Heat, the coaching mismatch is too strong for it to.
In my opinion it’s a help defense problem. Miami is pulling us east west and isolating really well so there’s no help to either side on all of these isolations. They have layers at all times on D and we are constantly defending on an island
The Celtics defense has been part of the problem this whole season. Smart not playing at the same level. He did last year. Rob being injured early on but also just looking a little bit less disciplined and of a game wrecker. And generally not being able to keep up the intensity.
I’m not sure what it is this season. Maybe they miss having Ime in their ear. But it has been there one real Achilles’ heel this year. The other stuff can be overcome.

Given how often he leaves timeouts unused, I don’t think that’s a problem.
I have much more to say about this but you’re never going to admit any of it. All I can say is that when your response to PP being an awful substitution and that he sucked ass is “I have to watch the film, I don’t know” (just because Joe made the choice, if someone argued that PP should play in a thread before the game you would fucking roast them) but you’re more than willing to say another player sucks in a game thread and then cite single game +/- to prove it …there’s an agenda dude
When options 3 and 4 can score as well as they are scoring it really does put pressure on the help defense.
Celtics issue with tonight is less with timeouts and more with the time-ins. They’re completely outmatched in every facet of the game, and as both teams are starting to realize that it’s becoming even more pronounced. This is really starting to be one of those “so, this really isn’t upset at all,” series.
Folks will look up and see only a 9-6 foul disparity, and 7-3 in free throw attempts.
But folks won't recognize that the C's have 26 shots inside the arc, because they are attacking to 17 for Miami, and the C's have 7 offensive rebounds to 0 for Miami, but if you let one team reach and slap constantly, and never call them for it, it's hard to score.

One of my proudest moments was screaming, "YOU'RE A FUCKING PRICK, REGGIE!" inches from his face as he came through the tunnel at halftime of a playoff game where he had just very obviously intended to injure Adrian Griffin. I've hated that dirty cheap shot dickhead for decades.
How hard is it to give Miami credit? They look (and have been) MILES better. This isn't Joe, this isn't whistles. I hate it as much as anyone but the truth isn't about dicking around happy joy feelings. It's reality.
