Yeah, what exactly was their plan if he had gone to San Francisco? Run this lineup out there for 162 games?
They have some good young talent here in Boston and more on the way in the minors. Blue skies ahead.

To Steinbrenner, OPS was what he paid Liddy and Hunt to do for CREEP.

Why? The Red Sox now have Winkowski and hopefully Scribner (when healthy) for Whitlock's bullpen role. Hasn't Whitlock shown you enough as a starter to convince you he should stay there?
