Boston, MA
Al is fine. A bit overrated, but he has called some iconic Boston sports games. The ‘86 ALCS, Malcolm Butler, and of course the butt fumble.

Levis seems decent. Wasn’t someone pushing for him in the draft threads?

Levis seems pretty good to me but we are still talking 16 points for the Titans…

Is old friend Bill Simmons’s “Matt lulls the opposition to sleep Canada” theory going to hit again?

I’d like to see no call on that D-hold.

Levis isn’t as talented as Trevor Lawrence, but watching him is like watching Lawrence two years ago — there are lots of mistakes, and the results aren’t there yet as a result, but the raw material is all there, as is a sense of how to work with it.

Don’t love the run on 3rd and 4.

Mike Vrabel is the ultimate mid coach.
He'll get you 6 wins, but he doesn't have what it takes to really succeed.

That was a weird injury. He looks out, his head did slam, but he didn’t look out right away

I guess, man. Rookie qb, bunch of oline injuries tonight. His GM traded AJ Brown (don’t know if he approved).

I think he’s pretty good.

Seemed like a pretty innocent play - not sure what happened other than hitting his head after his body hit

Hope he’s alright. For such a big and strong guy, Burks seems to be inured a lot.

Couldn't believe the announcers didn't notice he was hurt like right when the play happened. Dude went limp.

Hoping, as shitty as it sounds, just a concussion and knocked him out and it's all precautionary.

he had absolutely loaded teams in a bad division then would get to the playoffs and turtle his way into losses. He's good at motivating I guess, but he's way too conservative.

Lost to Mahomes and Burrow, right? Seems good when your guy is Tannehill.

edit: also beat Brady and Lamar both on the road, iirc

his team came off a 1st round bye and scored 16 offensive points in a loss in 2021
In 2020 they scored 13 points in a loss (10 in the first quarter then they turned the engine off and hoped to ride it out).
He had an okay 1st playoff run winning 2 games, but the team underachieved the next two in large part because he didn't play to win. the re-set was probably good for him, otherwise we'd be talking about whether he was a DC candidate since he'd be on the hot seat much more than he is.
He's not terrible, but he's exactly the kind of coach you think of when you're thinking about guys who can win you some games, but not be real contenders.

I thought Levis looked good - tough circumstances. But as well all know, need a number of games before anybody gets crowned playing QB in NFL.

Having that many one score wins since last year, second to….Minny, screams inflated record. They’ve been outscored by 30 points yet are 5-3.

Levis looks like Mac with a new spec sheet. 3" taller and a canon arm. His footwork looked a bit iffy. Saw a couple Mac specials off the back foot.

yeah he really makes a ton of the same moves/throws as Mac, but with more success because of the arm.
