    Match week 32 gamethread

For City fans (or any follower): how has Rodri(go) been this year? Is he the player you wanted or expected? I almost forget that he was on Atletico last year -- he's talented and has a bright future but I'm not sure the club missed him this year.

La Liga 2019-2020: Barca's title to lose?

Atletico seem to have righted the ship after the COVID break, now with three straight wins after a tie against Athletic. Notably, the larger benches and the five substitutions have given Simeone the chance to be more aggressive, both from the opening whistle and in the second half. And the...

La Liga 2019-2020: Barca's title to lose?

This rapid format has been entertaining. I like the larger benches and the five substitutions in this format, but I wouldn't want these changes made permanent. After three matches, I feel much more comfortable about Atletico earning a spot in next year's Champions League. My real worry...

Footy broadcasting - What do we have?

I tried Fanatiz this weekend and found that it worked well for live streaming matches. I don't use DVR or really care about anything else apart from live streaming, so I'm going to stick with the service for the remainder of La Liga.

Footy broadcasting - What do we have?

Thanks for posting this. Am I reading that Fanatiz costs $7.99 per month? If so, that's MUCH better than the $40+ that Fubo charges.

Former Patriots WR Reche Caldwell Shot & Killed in FL

Sorry to go V&N here, but I find it frustrating and troubling that the State has legalized these two activities while continuing to criminalize them.

La Liga 2019-2020: Barca's title to lose?

Thanks for this post. The last match I watched was Atletico vs. Liverpool on March 11, so I've had three months to savor that victory. More than anything, I'm excited that La Liga is returning because it signifies that Spain has made tremendous progress slowing the spread of COVID-19. My heart...

    Champions League, Round of 16

I was coming to post that quote: Jack Sear Klopp couldn't resist a bit of a dig at Atletico at the end of his interview with BT Sport. “I don’t understand to be honest with the quality they have why they play this kind of football. But it’s right, the winner is always right." Klopp: "When I...

    Champions League, Round of 16

Simeone is a drag. But he’s elevated the team to heights we never could have dreamed. We take the good with the ugly, relishing these victory while lamenting the pathetic displays of football that often plague this team. In terms of football, Simeone has occasionally shown sighs of playing...

    Champions League, Round of 16

Michael Cox @Zonal_Marking I can’t believe Atleti have actually won this on the night, as well as the tie overall. They were largely dreadful tonight. Incredible tie through, a great ending to the Champions League season.

    Champions League, Round of 16

“That's the first time Marcos Llorente has scored two goals in a game (at senior level anyway). Had only scored six goals before tonight, EVER.”

Yeah, I don’t disagree. I’m in too deep now. Love to love them and love to hate them.
