Tennis 2020: There is an I in Thiem

I agree. Every match Federer ever played against Djokovic/Nadal he was 4 years older and slower.

Tennis 2020: There is an I in Thiem

You really can. They all have some weaknesses in the resume: Federer: Fewest Masters titles, losing H2H record vs both Nadal: Far fewer weeks at no. 1 than the two other guys, never won the tour finals. Djokovic: Fewer Grand Slams than the other two.

I’m going to go again and contradict myself here. Been taking a few more looks at it and I think the officials missed it. Now the interesting part is trickling out post-game: The officials knew immediately they missed it and that it was a backwards pass during the replay. But replay decided...

Huh? Nobody finds a block in the back by the kicking team to be an odd foul?

So by rule if you’ve made a catch, you are a runner and no longer defenseless. So even if that hit had been directly helmet to helmet, it would not be a foul IF you think that’s a catch. That doesn’t make sense to me. Seems like he didn’t have enough time to protect himself from a high hit, so...

Hit has to be at the knees, first contact was at the waist/thigh
