Best Boston Area Play By Play Announcer of All Time

And when I did that I often wondered if he was watching the same game I was.

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

Opening Day tickets still currently available through the Red Sox. Also, there are tickets on Stub Hub for below face value for Opening Day, not sure if still below face once fees get added in. But overall the market looks pretty soft - if Opening Day tickets aren't selling, what will the rest...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

Although I had no intention of buying tickets I logged in just to see what would be available to me. There were good tickets in pretty much every price range in the lower deck available, bleachers through lower boxes, but nothing in the Pavilion boxes.

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I went to over 40 games that year sitting mostly in the bleachers which were $1 at the time, plus all 4 World Series games. Attendance really picked up after they came home from the big winning streak, I think 10 games, on the road. Until then I could sit pretty much anywhere I wanted, often...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I got the email, tickets for STH go on sale Tuesday at 10:00 until 6:00. All April and May games have been removed from accounts so there is credit available with which to buy these tickets. Unfortunately I don't know how to copy it to here.

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I spoke with my account rep last week. There is no need to opt out of those games being offered later this week as you said. But the possibility remains to opt out of the entire season and to retain rights to your seats for next year. That option will go away at some point, no date has yet been...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

Thanks, I was not aware of this. I emailed my rep tonight to ask about my options for this year.

    Spring Training Games

When they show a right handed hitter from the camera on the 1st base side pretty much all of the fans in the stands behind him aren't wearing masks. Since the game's on national TV and it's easy to see this I have to wonder why the Red Sox aren't doing anything about it. This just reinforces my...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I'm not sure when I'll feel safe. I do expect to go to games again someday. Just yesterday Dr. Walensky disagreed with Governor Baker about it being safe to begin relaxing rules now. I've made it through a year without getting Covid in part by being very careful. I'm not going to change that now...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I don't feel it's safe yet and Dr. Walensky yesterday seemed to agree. Sitting in the stands is no problem, the problem is getting in, getting out, and going to restrooms and refreshment stands. Although people in the stands will be spread out there will likely be crowds of people together at...

Red Sox to have fans at Fenway to start 2021

I have a full 81 game season ticket. I will be fully vaccinated by April 1. I have no interest in going to a game, at least not yet. When the Sox get to offering me the ability to go to games I am going to tell them to give the opportunity to someone else further down the list.

Tatum out 10-14 Days per Covid Policy

Celts have the max 17 players under contract, if they brought 1 in they would have to waive 1.

Dan Shaughnessy: Taking a dump in your mouth one column at a time

I arrived early for a Red Sox game a few years ago. Shank and Steve Lyons were together on the field chatting. I wished I had a hand grenade.

Baseball Writer Roger Angell Turns 100

This article by Roger Angell about the 1981 college game between St. John's, pitched by Frank Viola, and Yale, pitched by Ron Darling, is a classic. Unfortunately I can't find a better link, this one isn't easy to read. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1981/07/20/the-web-of-the-game
