    RIP MikeF

Awful news… Mike was a terrific guy and trips to Fenway in his convertible are cherished memories.

Tim is definitely the tech guy who helped me move the forums off of ezboard around 2003 or 2004(?) and after that remained the tech guy and eventually the owner in the late 2000's after the dotcom crash had me tapping out. Tim is the best thing that ever happened to this community, though, and...

I haven't checked in for ages but in my quick scan of the thread titles I didn't see anything on this great article from Ian Browne on MLB this morning: https://www.mlb.com/redsox/news/sam-horn-red-sox-cult-hero

I think Pascal has a a good chin and that Hopkins finally got old in that last fight with Kovalev, so Pascal fought a tougher brand of B-Hop.  Probably Kovalev's toughest fight... no wager, lol - but we'll see!

Long time no speak, fellas...   Loved the Arreola/Harper bout last night... but had Arreola trained properly (which he seldom ever does) he'd have knocked that Harper out inside of 3 rounds and saved himself his umpteenth broken nose.  Loved Seeing Berto rally for a KO.  Love both fighters but...

Tremendous fight last night between two of my all-time favorite fighters. I thought Pacquiao won the first two rounds pretty easily. Marquez' overhand right in the 3rd round was a beaut, but Pacquiao wasn't really hurt from it and actually rallied in the last minute. Round 4 was pretty even...

JMM is my favorite fighter and I'll admit I watched this one hoping he hadn't hit the end of his rope. Wow -- what a performance. Not sure if he'd match up as well with Pacquiao as he would've right after their 2nd bout but I'd be a sucker for that PPV. And Berto looked pretty damned good...

QUOTE (BGrif21125 @ Jan 12 2010, 01:02 PM) Taylor officially drops out of Super Six. Allan Green and Sakio Bika likely to fight in February to determine who will replace Taylor. Link Glad to hear that... Taylor was never a favorite of mine but his fights were always exciting to watch. Those...

119-111? You've gotta be kidding me. Helluva fight between Williams and Martinez. Here's hoping they do it again in about 6 months. Incredible.

Outstanding. What a finish by Marquez... those combinations were brilliant. I wish he was a 29 y/o again. Kudos to the judges, who seemed to have it right pre-knockout even though all three had it differently. Harold Lederman has been way off as of late. In the past, he's generally been...

Wow! Terrific welterweight fight on HBO tonight. Berto gets the unanimous decision over Collazo 166-11 (WTF?!?!?), 114-113, 114-113. I had it 114-113 as well. Terrible job by the new BAD crew in missing the huge Berto right to Collazo's left ribcage early in round 7 -- that dictated the...

Berto is an exciting young fighter... got a chance to see him live against stepping stone Cosimo Rivera a couple years ago in Saratoga. Very hard puncher and very fast. As it happens, Cosimo gave Berto his first career knock down, a short left hook that caught Berto crispy clean on the point...
