    Not to single you out but it’s the same way every loss by this team is hand waved away despite having very similar characteristics each time. They’ll likely be fine in this series against an undermanned Heat team, but if they ultimately come up short again it’ll be a consistent recipe.

    In the Instagram TikTok era, I have to imagine this has as much to do with his style (sunglasses, suits, hats, etc) as his production on the ice. Pasta just seems cool and that is definitely going to resonate with a younger generation. Hell, I'm 45 and I think he's cool as shit.

    Same here. Given that they granted the media interview with the interpreter and then disavowed his account seems like someone had an "Oh shit" moment when they realized the story implicated Ohtani.

    So either Ohtani's interpreter is a mule to place bets on Ohtani's behalf or the story is somewhat true and when Ohtani realized transferring the money to cover the debts was illegal the story changed to keep Ohtani out of it as best as possible.

    Why can't it be as simple as he will get as much leash as he shows he deserves? If he's playing well in camp and pre-season then he will start if he looks like confused dogshit he won't.
