What do you want Pats to do with #3?

I think a bigger issue might be that Daniels (and McCarthy) might just be guys that need a lot of help around them to be effective, whereas a guy like Williams elevates the quality of your receiving corps by himself. A team like the Vikings might be better suited to carry those two guys than a...

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

I'm with you on this, I've warmed on Maye due to age (there's at least the chance he can outgrow the Favrian tendencies), but I'm still sour on the other two. I can see Daniels RGIIIing his way out of the league. That's where I am, build out the infrastructure to the extent that a Penix type...

    Tatum or Ant?

Until Boston sent out the reserves to play the last four games, they were 62-16, which would be the same winning percentage. And the Celtics did that without cherry-picking games.

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

Maye, maybe. Daniels? Well, he’d be QB1 next year. But I’d also make the remark that being QB1 in a class doesn’t make a QB elite. Daniels’s only elite trait is his running/speed. But he runs very recklessly as a very skinny QB who, due to age and frame, is unlikely to ever get big enough to...

4/16/24 - Sandman v. The Lover of Epstein?

    Signed, Epstein’s Mom.

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

Except that unless they’re lucky the Pats really don’t. Being the third best in QB in a class doesn’t make a QB elite. Caleb Williams has a good chance to be elite. I’m warming on the thought that Maye might be able to do it. The other two? I just don’t see it. They’re far closer to Jalen Hurts...

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

I mean if New England were drafting #2, this would be completely reasonable. They're not.

What do you want Pats to do with #3?

Honestly I’m not a fan of either Daniels or JJM, so if those are the options at #3 I’m hoping that the Patriots make a deal with Minnesota or whoever to acquire a passel of picks.

Refs gone wild: a place to complain about NBA referees and propose solutions to improving officiating

Yeah, if last night is the template for playoff reffing you can pencil the Heat in for the title, because they’re the best rugby team in the NBA.

Red Sox, Ceddanne Rafaela agree to contract extension

Yeah, I was going to say, we've already watched Little Rafi turn a routine line drive down the LF line into a triple. He may not be Jarren Duran fast, but he's fast. At the least it guarantees them options as they have the spot stabilized for the length of the deal (I'm going to guess six with...

Red Sox, Ceddanne Rafaela agree to contract extension

If I had to make a very rough guess, in 2-4 years, whenever Miguel Bleis is ready to take over the CF spot, having Little Rafi on a long term deal makes him really valuable in trade (again, assuming that he's a leage average hitter).

    2024 NBA Draft

I loved him until he became an insufferable douchebag in the Three Amigos era. Celtics/Rockets loyalty runs deeper than Marquette loyalty.

    2024 NBA Draft

I just meant that you have to remember my evaluations of Marquette guys are never rational as they’re my Div 1 team (I loved Butch Lee when I was a kid, I cheered that ‘78 team till my throat went raw).

    2024 NBA Draft

You’re clearly baiting me with Marquette’s PG. I’m with you on Carter, though. He’s one of those guys that I can easily see playing 10-12 years in the NBA. He’s just really really solid player that plays good D. I wouldn’t be upset if he floated to #30 for Boston.
