Looks like the Karlsson to Tampa trade hit a major detour, so let’s not go giving up the division just yet. Dallas seems to be alive, and Shawn Simpson of TSN has issued an apology for yesterday’s tweet. I agree with the Fl4w, let’s not go giving up the division just yet. The Bruins are still...

    Bruins in 18-19

Backes isn’t going anywhere, but his NMC loosens up after next year. He can submit a list of 8 teams he will accept a trade to. Doesn’t help much, but it’s better. He’s likely here through the next two years. Krejci’s is a little better after next year as he submits a list of 15, but I don’t see...

I would guess that Kuraly is probably the favorite for the 3c spot. Not ideal for a contender, but I value him somewhat similarly to Riley Nash. JFK, Frederic, Donato and likely Studnicka are all potential youth fits. I don’t hate it, but they seem clearly fighting for third place given the...

Well Tavares just follows the Bruins on Twitter, so it’s still silly season.

Islanders officially out on Tavares, per Arthur Staple. And then there were five.

    Bruins sign Jaroslav Halak

I would be very interested in comparing this deal with Dobby's. Halak is a better goalie, IMO, so if the money is close I love it. Rask needs to b fresh to be good, and this allows them to limit his minutes.

    Bruins sign Chris Wagner

It was apparent in the Tampa series that the fourth line could get pushed around, and adding someone who can play but is much more physical and will punish opposing teams is a good thing. I am fine with it, but the Schaller era Appears over.

From what I can gather, most teams offered him 7-84M at $12m per year. I believe the maximum salary next year would be at least $14-15m per year. That would get him a $98-105m contract. Maybe that’s what they mean? Could only imagine the Islanders doing that, but tough to get any clear picture...

Yeah, looks like a good salary dump move for the Peg that allows them to retain a player they really need for depth down the middle. As for Tavares, Chris Botta, an Islanders reporter, seemed to refute the Fourth periods tweet. Another tweet seemed to suggest some teams have been eliminated...

Seems the favorites are Toronto, the Islanders and San Jose based on twitter buzz, but it's apparent no one has real any clue. Of interest to me is that apparently Bergeron spoke with Tavares in the past few days, so hopefully Patrice can further cement his God status and get hm to come to Boston.

Well, maybe not wasting his time will work, but I doubt being the briefest is a good thing. Great thing for summer time fun, but I would imagine this is probably down to the Leafs and Isles. Does anyone know if there's are odds on this? Love to know what Vegas thinks.

Isn't the max length the Bruins could offer 7 years? Only the Islanders can offer him 8 years.
