    A AMEN! Kaat struck out 4 in 2 and 1/3 innings. I believe it was the only time he left a game with an injury in a 24 year career. His replacement was no slouch. Jim Perry was a career 215 game winner.The Sox scored off him, Ron Kline. and Yaz hit his 44th homer off Merritt. A three run shot.

    A great day in Red Sox history. Red Sox 5 Twins 3 The starting pitchers Jim Lonborg vs Dean Chance. Chance last faced the Sox on August 6th. He pitched a rain shortened 5 inning perfect game.He went into the game with a 4-1 record 1.58 era vs the Sox in 67 . Lonborg had never beaten the Twins...

    Surprisingly Jose Santiago only started 11 games in 1967. Gary Waslewski started 8 games in 67. They started 3 games in the World Series. Some rotation!
