      That doesn't seem like enough years or AAV for him to consider an extension. Homer Bailey's extension seems like a good comp, 6 years $105M is something I think the Sox should be willing to do. But your point remains, they should make every effort to extend him now.

    Well if Pablo is signed as well, that moves Hanley to the outfield. The Sox would have 7 outfielders under contract...without even including JBJ. I'd imagine Ben has a deal lined up including at least one of them for pitching if all of this comes to fruition.

    Based on some Google searches, it appears that Hanley and Stanton are represented by the same agency (Wasserman). So it's not out of question that this guy would have an inside source on both players.
