I think they decided that if Phil couldn’t get there in 2, they want Brady to hit their 2nd shot and leave the approach to Phil.
Yeah, that’s probably it. They never showed a yardage but I thought it was a reachable hole and Phil could just get one up there around the green.

So interesting to hear the pros talk through the putts. Phil mentioning you Brady that it’s downhill but against the grain so it won’t be as fast as it looks.

And had it not been conceded at least Phil was putting to stay alive.

Presumably these guys have been tested and are clean of Corona. Why can't they high five?

Great day of golf here.

Apparently Barkley is going to play 18 and try to make bogey or better. I’m assuming they taped this earlier?

edit: he got rid of the hitch!

JT has a 25+ year playing career ahead of him, but he knocked it out of the park as an announcer. Didn’t talk to much, when he did he was insightful and brought a fun and not too serious personality to the table. Probably helped the he’s friendly enough with Tiger and Phil to engage in some ball busting. Calling Chuck at fat ass who couldn’t dunk anymore was tremendous.

It’s gotta be embarrassing for NBC to see the universal praise for this production from a company that literally doesn’t broadcast golf...right?

+8.3 really isn't human.

I had read somewhere that they estimated that over his stretch in 2000-2001, Tiger got to a +10. No fact checking or sourcing on that one though, but I believe it.

Who is the most relaxing PGA golfer to watch? I'm looking for someone that will playing the Schwab and is likely to make the cut.

Just watch the tournament without following anyone then.

I guess DJ would be the closest thing to "relaxing." He's basically got the same demeanor at all times. Brooks is like that too. I think Brooks is playing the Charles Schwab Challenge, not sure about DJ. Field will be finalized on Friday. Rory's a fun one too, he doesn't usually ride too much of a roller coaster.

The 2021 Masters lottery is open for applications. Of course, I'll probably win this year and then we'll still be in quarantine or no fans or something like that.

I was looking at these today. Earlier in the day I was saying I don't think Rory would beat me by so much that I'd be embarrassed to play with him, but after seeing these I think I may be very, very wrong. +8.3? That's just not human.
A friend of mine has played with Rory several times. This guy has been the champ 8 different times at my club over a 20 year period and has ranged from a 2 handicap to a +1 during the time I've known him.

He told me that Rory was so intimidating to play with that he "almost felt ashamed" to be in the same foursome. So, yeah.
