A very good read, but man, coulda used a trigger warning on the animated Tyree play right up top!

Sounds like he largely got put away for good, more or less. I wonder if the city's burglary habit has had a turnaround since those days.

That was the most entertaining story I have read in some time. I knew nothing about this previously and it was a great read. Loved the detail that Murphy continued to throw keg parties for high school kids well into his adulthood. Always wondered what happened to those idiots.

What a great job you did. It's an excellent story, told so well.

I'm the same generation as he is (I'm 57) and grew up with many would-be Sean Murphies in Dorchester.

I grew up in Lynn and about a year younger. I don't know where, or if, he went to high school but if he did go to Lynn English, I don't believe we were in any of the same classes.

That was great and at least this time Joe Morgan wasn’t responsible for bringing a Boston area team down.

Yeah, excellent piece!

Do people still say the "Lynn, Lynn" rhyme? It was such a staple, hard to imagine Greater Boston without it.

I moved out of Lynn five years ago, but I heard that right up until I left, any time I mentioned being from there.

So Brinks had $54 million in cash in the storehouse and couldn't afford the wages of even a single employee to be on the premises?

That's amazing, I just read this on Longform.org (it was chosen as a featured article on July 3rd).

Like many people here (probably), I know a guy named Sean Murphy in the Boston area and I thought there was a non-zero percent chance this would be about him...

My wife is always shocked by the rabbit hole that SOSH sends me down and this was a new level.
Excellent job Zeke, tell me this is going to be a 6 part series on Netflix!
