"I have admittedly been too hands-off" -- no, Dan, that's the opposite of what they're saying.

also, what does "we believe these videos to be unauthorized or fraudulent" mean? Were they made, or not? If they were made, who made them, and on whose orders? What the hell is a "Fraudulent" video of cheerleaders' boobs, anyway?

I find it inconceivable that somebody with Snyder's millions, not to mention access to the NFL's PR geniuses, could've put his name to such a tone-deaf and unaware "apology". Don't you get a PR expert to give this a once-over before you hit send? Presumably, Snyder has a fleet of consultants on retainer by now.

I think the investigation the NFL is referencing is the on-going one started by Snyder when the first story came out. The lawyer was referred to the Redskins by NFL HQ. I do not believe there are parallel investigations.

Is that like the independent investigation into deflated footballs? Snyder's smart to volunteer for writing the checks.

Big Succession vibes from Snyder on this. I forget if the NFL is in a care about women cycle right now. No, correct?
The timing really is unfortunate. The passport confiscation story broke months before Me Too blew up, and now this breaks when the sports world is completely locked in on race. Feels like if either comes out at a slightly different time, things might play out a lot differently.
