IDK WTF some of these punches are that Whitaker is throwing.

1-1 after 2, fun fight so far.

I have Till 1,4,5. But I could see some judges having it as much as 4-1 the other way.

Really close, I preferred DT.

Khabib...Gaethje.
Damnit. Wrong guy who’s name I can’t spell. But yup, interim belt vs real belt. Should be a good one. Khabib struck well against Connor but look bad throwing against a last minute Iaquinta.

I never got around to thinking about Khabib and Gaethje because I was upset we were never going to see Tony vs Khabib. Now that I think about it Khabib might be in trouble. If Gaethje's takedown defense is as good as people say then he'll be able to strike pretty freely and I don't think anyone can trade with him. With 5 rounds to work of course Khabib will get the fight to the ground at some point but he has to avoid any decent shot for that long too

It was an excellent main event that was scored correctly. Both fighters made some excellent adjustments but I just think Stipe is the better fighter at heavyweight and would win 7 out of 10.

Looked very strong. Smith was coming off a bad beating so don’t know how much that played into it.
Those leg kicks will play vs anyone though

I think I'd do Reyes vs Rakic for the vacant belt next. They should at least have rakic ready for 9/26 if someone drops out

Kara France/ Royval is all you could want in an mma fight

R1 is the best round I’ve seen in a long time

Real bad game plan from Costa to just stand right in kicking range. Guys whole style is blitzing people. He might have still lost trying that but at least go out with your A game.

Damn. Costa had no answers for Israel. He didn’t even have questions. What a lame game plan. The fight before was fun though.

Glad I fell asleep for the main event then. But that France v Royval fights was awesome. Edit been a long time I feel asleep overnight watching something on tv. Pretty good card made me not want to go to bed. My back is sore sleeping on the couch.

It looks like Dana is trying to set up Covington and Masvidal. Covington has committed, but I have no idea if Masvidal will.

Being former friends and training partners helps sell the fight if it goes.

Somehow I don't think it will. If it does, what happens? Seems like a tough matchup for Masvidal, but I haven't seen many of Covington's fights to really have a feel for how it could go.

Masvidal would have to get lucky to win. Normally these training camp friend fights, the guy that signs first knows what’s going to happen.

Chuck was calling out Tito for years before they fought for real because he knew he handled him in training.

How recently did they train together? Masvidal seems better the last year+.

Very impressive from Sandhagen. I thought Moraes was the undeserved underdog but he was dominated.

Way back in the day we used to goof around on an mma board saying mma should have height classes, not weight classes. That fight was a perfect example of why.

Reminder tomorrow’s main card starts at 2pm EST.

Should be a fun main and co main event.

I’ll be rooting pretty hard for Gaethje I love the adjustments he’s made since the Porier fight and think it’s a good matchup for him.

Its just really funny how good Khabib is. He submits guys like they don't even know what grappling is.
