It's not as noticeable tonight because they are playing one of the other great teams in the country, but my friends and I watch college football together almost every Saturday and one of the things we do every week is note the Alabama offensive and defensive lines. Even before the play starts, just look at them, and look at their opponents. They aren't even playing the same sport most weeks. They just look bigger, faster, stronger and better coached than everyone else, because they are. It's men against toddlers.
Didn't Alabama's offensive line grade out as best/#1 in the country?

What you said just proves the old saying that games are won in the trenches; the Patriots had a good offensive line, maybe very good? But their defensive line was a tire fire.

And if I am not mistaken, Alabama had the #1 recruiting class in the country this year; the best gets better.

I always assume Alabama has the best recruiting class in the country every year.

So if this score holds up..............................................are they favored to repeat?
Would you bet against them? I wouldn't. Outside of QB, I feel like if Alabama had every starter out with COVID, they'd still be a top 5 team in the country.

I 100% would not, but I wasn't sure if there are any up and coming teams.

I'd have to say they will be the odds on favorite, no doubt about it.

Apparently Clemson has a QB to replace Lawrence that people are very high on.

Can’t find the tweet now but saw that two WR had won the Heisman before Smith - Tim Brown and Desmond Howard. They combined for fewer yards and TDs than Smith had this season!!!

I was going to ask that; is it the kid who stepped in for him while he was out or is it someone else?
Yes, the defensive player(s) who missed the ND game cost them that contest, not Lawrence's replacement. He looked very good.
D.J. Uiagalelei is the kid's name, by the way.

So Mac Jones put up staggering numbers. We can say that it's because his receivers are always wide open, but then let's ask this: Ohio State is littered with secondary players who will pay in the NFL. And if Alabama's WRs are THAT wide open THAT often, doesn't that mean that Alabama's WRs are basically untouchably great?

And if so...man, New England definitely needs to pick ONE of these guys.

Well part of it too is because Ohio State was primarily focused on stopping the run
Alabama does present problems for defenses.

- Best RB in college football.
- Best WR in college football.
- Best QB in college football.
- Best OL in college football.

I mean...that's a lot to worry about.
