I agree, to a point. Pulling on a receiver’s shoulder pad to get through him for a pick should be called.
Yes, that's like the illegal check in hockey on the defenseman that creates the goal-scoring opportunity

Scotty Miller takes a lot of those deep passes too. just cover deep and on the sidelines with 8 seconds left.

California. Duh.
Guys, I know you love Brady and all, but a decent D1 QB can throw a TD pass to a receiver that's 3 yards behind the last defender.

That was 3% because of Brady's arm and 97% shitty defense. That same type of play got a defensive coordinator fired the following day earlier this year.

I'll repeat ... that first down catch by Fournette, between two guys, was clutch. Hell, Rodgers could have done the same thing in the opposite direction

Defensive coaching fail by the Packers on the TD. You can give up the entire middle of the field — just have to guard the sidelines and the end zone.
Especially when you can commit an emergency penalty and force the kick.

Gut punch for Green Bay. First on the turnover that looked like it probably was defensive holding and then giving up that bomb.

Why didn’t the pats think of signing a decent d1 qb this season

I disagree. You can’t concede the field goal.

Not saying the scheme was right, but that’s not shades of Gregg Williams by any means.
Oh it isn’t like they brought a 7 man pressure like Williams did, my issue isn’t with the play call. King let Miller get way behind him because he overplayed the short pass. He didn’t have a safety over the top on the outside there

What was Rodgers' TD pass for 50 yards - his receiver had a step or two. I think it was a great pass by Rodgers.
Also, the Patriots currently have zero QBs on the roster that made that throw this season.

Well he identified guy who was open for the easy TD and went to him, so that was better than Rodgers was on his last red zone drive.

But yeah the defense sucked.

No doubt, there was at least one defender needlessly guarding 20 yards down the middle of the field. Scheme fail for sure. But credit to Arians for going for the big play and trusting Brady to leave a second for the long FG attempt.

I actually thought Rodgers very slightly underthrew that pass and the defender should have broken it up but got himself twisted around the wrong way.

Tampa calling a time out on second down against Aaron Rodgers on the road after the sack is one of thode little decisions in a championship run that gets lost but that you still talk about ten years after.

As that play unfolded, what's going through Brady's head? Something like "Wow, they bought it." or what?
