From the article:
"I'm a football player, so I'm kind of big," Herron said. "I try not to be too aggressive with people knowing I could potentially hurt somebody. I do have a very loud voice, so all I did was just yell, tell him to get off her, and then yanked him off. And I told him to sit down and wait until the cops come."

Well done, lads. "Justin & Murray" has potential as a tv show.

Disappointing that this isn't about Mack Herron.

I suppose the use of present tense should have given it away.

"Police said the victim has since met with Herron and Rogers and "there was not a dry eye in the room."
Awesome, the saving the lady was heroic and everything about this was wonderful but that last line got to me.

That link says "Herron held a press conference". Wasn't it the local PD? CNN's writing makes it sounds like Herron called the press together to talk about himself.
Yeah it was the local PD as they had the other good samaritan there too.

When I first saw the thread title, I immediately thought he stopped someone from over-explaining a joke. This was my very next thought though. Point, good guys.
