Saw one possession when clicking through. He coasted into a passing lane for a steal got beat then jogged behind his man as the guy went in for 2. Didn’t realize he put up a goose egg on 0-10 shooting in 33 minutes. Whoa!
He also had 0 assists and the worst +/- on the team, although 2 steals and 2 blocks ain't bad. Can't get much worse (he says, fingers crossed).

Give him a break, he just had 24-hour covid.
Yeah, he’s obviously not as bad as last night suggests. My fear is that people’s expectations are way higher than they should be for him and he never appeared to be very interested in defending when in Orlando.

I don’t have a lot of takes about Orlando. I kind of like Gordon, but during trades season I would be lying if I said I didn’t keep thinking “If Vuc, Fournier, & Gordon are so fucking good why does Orlando absolutely suck?”

The problem for Orlanda are those 3 guys should be the 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players on your roster. If they are your top 3 you stink. Now, Chicago is hoping Vuc is a 2, I am not so sure. Gordon is going to Denver to be a 3-4 with MPJ and should be a good fit. Fournier is coming here to be a sixth man and he should be able to hold up as part of a bench unit.

Players will periodically have games like this. Hopefully its not with a lot of frequency, I'd like to see him put together a good series of games before this team and the playoffs converge.
Reading this was better than twiddling my thumbs.

I disliked those classes in school, but all the Fournier word play has left me in a weird phase, almost excited.

Also until you guys mentioned Orlando again, I had forgotten and thought this was about a Heat transfer.

What a strange tangent. This thread transformation is in the la(st) place I would expect it.

Made shots aside, Fournier added a really nice dimension to the offense in terms of off-ball movement and screening.

Having a quick-release shooter out there (who can also put the ball on the deck and playmake) really changes things.

Of those six 3Ps, on 3, no one was within 10 feet of him. Two came off PnRs and were barely contested. Only one did a guy really get a hand up.

He should get a ton of these shots.
He’s definitely going to get higher quality looks than he did in Orlando. The Celtics haven’t had a complementary offensive guy like this in awhile—Hayward is much better overall, but he’s not at Fournier’s level as a 3pt shooter.

Fournier out for Philly due to health and safety protocols. This team can’t get a break.

It's part of Danny's evil Fade for Cade campaign. But when they end up with Cunningham or Suggs all will be forgotten.

The first Beas supposedly a false positive, although maybe that was not really the case and he instead had a false negative second test. Any way, I think we can assume he is symptomatic at this point.

If EF is Covid positive, how is it that none of the other players are in protocol?

EF reportedly had multiple false negative tests.

Though I am not sure what NBA considers false positive vs false negative.

Best case we are talking about basketball activities starting Tuesday, but I wouldn’t expect him in games right away.

Fournier could help against the Suns Thursday night, or the next night in Brooklyn

This thread bump fooled me. But good to know that the Fournier window closes this week.

Sorry. Good point. I just was looking for any Fournier-specific thread.
Mods, feel free to delete my comment and "un-bump" - or change the title, whatever you wish.

I knew something was off when I read a post saying that playing Fournier 30 minutes a night would be a massive upgrade.
