California. Duh.
His own player knocked Pasta into him.

That would have been bad if he was KO'd, there's no emergency goalie.

Are they seriously mad that Pasta got checked into the goalie by their own guy?

right here
Dahlin should have been called on knocking pasta into the goalie. Dahlin could have been called, for the next hit on pasta. Dahlin cross checks Marchand. Bruins short handed.

If I was Cassidy I would tap Richie and tell him if Dahlin isn’t leaving the building with teeth missing he’s on waivers tomorrow.

Have to love 63 jumping in to ensure 88 didn’t get involved. BS non call on the x-check by Dahlin on Pasta.

What about the rouging call on the goalie? Where's that?

Those cross-checks by Dahlin were, as Luis Tiant used to say, bool-cheet.

I don't care what seed they get in the playoffs. I just want them to stay healthy in the last few games and keep getting sharp for the post-season.

Jesus, I don’t think Bjork made many friends during his time in Boston. They’re really unloading on him today.
I was thinking the same thing throughout the game. Seemed like a lot of guys with a little extra for him.

Agreed. But part of staying healthy might include avoiding the Caps in the first round.

DeBrusk has looked pretty good today. They should keep him at left wing maybe? It’s funny what happens when you play natural left wings on the left wing instead of trying to force them into right wing when they obviously can’t play on that side.
Bruce was asked about Jake in the post game. Said Jake has played on every line. We gave him every opportunity. Almost spat it out. Has no love for Jake.

A few weeks ago this team was struggling to get by this Sabres team. Today was the dominant effort that's completely restored my faith in them:

49-29 Corsi
27-11 Scoring Chances
10-4 High Danger
70.8% Expected Goals (2.72 to 1.12)

I dare say that the top 6 are shaping up to be the best top 6 in the league. And I'm optimistic that there's enough options and competition to get the bottom 6 in order come playoff time.

Glad nobody got hurt against this trash heap organization. Dahlin's d-zone awareness makes Marc-Andre Bergeron look like Nick Lidstrom, seems like he was pissed about getting dunked on for the entirety of the season / this season series

I wasn’t sure where to put this, so I’m sorry if I’m breaking protocol: taking my 10yr old to the game, on Tuesday the second of a back to back with the Devils, he’s turned into a pretty serious goalie and we’re curious who will get the start. Guessing Rask goes Monday and the last time there was a b2b Halalk got the start, hasn’t played since. Is he healthy? We’d love to see Rask or Sway, but know Rask won’t play both. What do you guys think?

I think Halak is the 3rd goalie at this point. Rask & Swayman are the 1 & 2. Rask on Monday & Swayman on Tuesday. Only time you may see Halak again is that last game in Washington. Hell they might just send Halak & Vladar on the trip.

I think the problem with Jake DeBrusk is that he's never had a consistent role. He keeps trying to adjust to "all 4 lines" as Bruce said, and he's unsure what the nuances of each line are because he's not getting consistency.

I definitely think this is a part of it, but I also think one of the things about DeBrusk is that he is "good" at almost everything, but not "great" at any one thing that would set him apart in a Top 6 role. I also get the feeling (totally as an outside viewer, obviously) that there's a bit of a work ethic issue there, especially considering that he usually responds well after being benched... and if he could put forth that extra effort all the time, I think he would be a much more consistent player.

I know we all want him to be better than what he's shown so far, and I still like his game, I just think he's better suited to a bottom 6 role, at this point. But I also think he is a really, really solid 3rd liner. Kind of like the "4A" guys in baseball who are too good for AAA, but never quite put it all together for The Show.
