Just got a penalty thanks to VAR.

i haven’t been able to see too much of the game so far because of all the flags. I appreciate the spirit but hope they’re down for good now.598A4BE2-7CC4-4653-B10A-CBD50082157A.jpeg

Chelsea should be docked a goal for unnecessary use of their away kit.

I assume from the craptastic audio that Champion and Twellman are in Bristol calling this. Champion almost broke my sound bar just now.

I'm listening on Five Live. TalkSport has Adrian Durham and Andy Townsend calling the match

Why did Chelsea need to sign Ross Barkley? Also, why is he still there?

Odds just shifted from Chelsea +330 to Chelsea +265 with the Salah exit. Liverpool went from -115 to +135.

Was very entertained by the Championship playoff this morning. Sheff Utd 1-2 Nottingham Forest. Commentator compared it to a basketball game. Would love to see Forest, it’s great when teams come up for the first time in many years.

United must’ve got a late goal because Forest were 2 up when I changed to the FA Cup.
I’m hoping Forest or Luton get promoted.

Strange game. First half, it was all Liverpool for the first 15 minutes but they couldn’t convert and Chelsea grew back into the game. Second half is the exact flip with Chelsea owning the first 15 minutes but not converting and Liverpool suddenly growing back into the game.

Agreed. I liked Fulham coming up because I like Marco Silva. He's a good guy who wasn't able to get the island-of-misfit-toys that Everton's (mis)management assembled to work as a team. The utterly bonkers appointment of Carlo just papered over the cracks for a year. He seemed like not a good enough coach and maybe too nice a guy for his own good but in retrospect he didn't get the support he needed. So good for him.

Bournemouth, Sheffield United, especially Huddersfield - meh. the serial bouncing up and down is boring. So Luton or Forest.

Since I looked it up, 30 minutes of extra time and 5 subs for FA Cup Final. I assumed the first but had to double check the second. Note that it’s 5 subs in 3 batches so Liverpool has only one batch plus the start of extra time to sub.

now both teams have used two windows.

If the goal was a foot wider Luis Diaz would be the greatest goal scorer of all time

There really are too many fixtures. I know, lol boo hoo for teams good enough to go deep into multiple competitions, and I've come to the point when I'll watch any random footy available*, but watching two exhausted teams run their stars into the ground is a little painful.

Edit: if I'll watch stuff like this game I really don't have a leg to stand on re: complaints about too much football.

Both sides look exhausted. Might well come down to... (alert: sports cliché impending) ... which team can dig deeper.
But yeah, it really does feel that way.

This is getting sorta sad. When you play 60 games, your finals are going to have players falling down tired. Who wants to see that?

If he can time it right, Klopp should go Origi for Konate at the last second.
