Gordon has settled into Richarlison’s role nicely. Chips at heels without the ball and goes down with overlapping shadows when he has it.

Everton can’t get anything going frontward. No focal pint. Three wingers up front gives no focal point

Gray is a fun player to watch even if the end product isn’t always there.
Amd Ings does Ings things to score. Twice he seemed to ruin the chance but I guess you can do that if you can thunder it in with your left

Agreed. Ings looked like he selfishly blew it with a bad touch and somehow turned it into a goal. Absolutely on brand.

Gray has been woeful as have Gordon and McNeil
I know this is your team but the whole XI have been woeful you can’t get out and when you do you have almost no plan except to try to take on 1 v 1

That being said you were one super tight offside and one McNeil overhit pass away from creating two somethings from nothing

The back is better. Tark Coady Holgate Myko all playing well enough. Ball progression up the left with Myko is better than the right but it has nowhere to go. Only two in the middle puts too much pressure on the defense. Doucoure was awful before coming off and Davies is worse.

Iwobi is easily our best.

Villa have not been great.

Although I have a soft spot to Everton due to family ties, it never gets old watching Pickford concede goals. The atmosphere is pretty lame, so quiet you can hear fans open candy wrappers. Pretty boring, thus far.

I just think Pickford takes time wasting to another level, at least with the few Everton matches I watched last season. The whole taking a cross and flopping on the deck unchallenged like a trout and then staying on the deck. It may be just my own perception. Nothing to do with that specific goal.

He does, but no worse than a lot of keepers holding draws or leads for shitty teams.

I’m sure there are stat geeks that can prove me wrong.. he just appears at least to me, more blatant about it. Was it Alisson last season that took the piss out of him? I seem to have vague recollections. Pace appears to have picked up second half. Thankfully.

You have to be winning to do that, so not so much

Everton more solid at the back, Cilla really didn’t do much, but other than Iwobi and Onana when he came on the mids and forwards were awful.

That was a penalty against Leicester, it was not just a leg stuck out there it was lifted and made contact with Jesus. What is VAR looking at?
