Collinsworth mangles his point and says that "no team runs more plays behind Trent Williams at left tackle than the San Francisco 49ers"

The ejection had nothing to do with Herbert being a QB. Mhmm. Definitely buying that NY. I'll remember that everytime a RB gets tackled for the rest of this one.

For all their free agent signings and changes, the AFC West blows - not counting the Chiefs, of course.

Starting to get a bit sick of the Kyle experience. He has every toy in the world and can't punch it in from the 15.

Staley should have let the clock run down to 20 seconds so his offense would have a timeout to work with.

A minute for a guy who can throw it 40 yards on a rope or pick up 30 scrambling is an eternity.

NFL admits the obvious. They missed the call on the pass to Davis. Still no explanation on how or why they didn't go to replay. Clock was stopped so no concern there, nor does it usually factor in anyway. Pretty questionable reception live and fairly obvious incomplete with quick review. Absolutely zero reason not to stop and review. Does the NFL only have one person watching these games? Were they getting a coffee or going to the bathroom? Was the replay official related to Gabe Davis? Seems as reasonable as any other excuse they might throw out there.

If Minnesota hadn't ended up with the win this would be a much bigger deal. I'd also guess if that was the case, the NFL would have probably doubled down on the call or at least used less conclusive about it. They can afford to look like the care about good officiating when obvious mistakes don't end up directly affecting the end result.

"It was a significant distance down the field," NFL Senior VP of Officiating Walt Anderson said after the game, via NFL Media. "And even though it happens fast and Buffalo hurries to the line of scrimmage for the next play, if the replay official can't confirm it was a catch on that long of a completed pass, we should stop play to ensure it is a catch."

When asked specifically if they were able to review the play and if it would have been reversed, Anderson said: "We were able -- several plays after -- to look at all the angles. It would have been reversed to an incomplete pass because he did not maintain control of the ball after he hit the ground and the ball touched the ground out of bounds."
