I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hoping for the prospect of a Cleveland-Baltimore AFC Championship.

Don't really care how the rest shakes out, to be honest.

1. Anyone but the Chiefs
2. Anyone but Tyreek hoisting the trophy
3. Anyone but the Eagles
4. Jags/Colts/Texans/Steelers don't deserve it, so no to them
5. Rams/Bucs/Packers/Seahawks/Saints/Vikes/Falcons don't deserve it, so no to them.

Which I think means:
AFC: Any of Ravens/Bills/Browns
NFC: Any of 49ers/Cowboys/Lions

If forced to pick, Bills beat Cowboys, with Jerry's team losing in heartbreaking fashion

Bills beating Cowboys would be poetic justice in them finally getting their Super Bowl win (they lost 4 straight but were utterly humiliated by Dallas twice in a row).

My choice is one. The 49ers.
One should not really complain when your team already has 5 Lombardis, but it's been long enough, plus they have had some heartbreaking losses in the NFCCG and Superbowl lately (both Harbaugh era and Shanahan era).

Cleveland winning the AFC without Watson and still paying him is... something. And a Cleveland-SF Superbowl pitting Flacco vs the Niners again would be lovely.

Lions/Browns for me as this way, one of two very long suffering fan bases finally win a Super Bowl.

No to Dolphins, Bills, Chefs from the AFC, Eagles from the NFC.

I'm ok with either the 49ers or Dallas in the NFC.

Beaten by @Van Everyman, but I'm with him.

I would like to see SF vs Baltimore and I'd be fine with whoever wins. Best two teams in the league...

Miami and Pitt need to lose as soon as possible
Would like Eagles and Ratbirds and Colts to lose quickly too.
KC Dallas Buffalo and SF can’t win it but ok if they are SB loser

Rooting for Houston or Jax over Lions probably

I don't really care apart from not wanting the Chiefs to win.

I guess AFC East rivalry (and Tyreek) should make me root against the Dolphins and Bills, but those franchises spent decades wandering in the wilderness and if they're going to win I would rather it be in a lost year for the Patriots. I like McDaniels in spite of myself -- the capri pants are weird, but he seems like a brilliant offensive mind and he's a great interview. On the Browns, while it would be great to see Cleveland celebrate, I cannot bring myself to root for an ownership group/front office that gave Watson hundreds of millions of dollars.

In the NFC, would be fun for the Lions to win and I like Campbell. I like Jalen Hurts so no issues with the Eagles winning.

There are only four teams that have never played in a Super Bowl-the Browns, the Jags, the Texans, and the Lions.

Lions for my long-suffering cousins

Browns for my wife's long suffering cousins

Texans, because Fcuk David Tepper.

Jags, because Fcuk Urban Meyer.

Absolutely not to the Browns btw, their owner is not only legitimately a criminal the way they handled and celebrated Deshaun Watson is gross.

CLE-DET Superbowl. Yes, their franchises are or have been terrible, but the fans of each team deserve it.

Rooting most strongly against:

1. KC
2. Balt
3. Miami
4. Buffalo
5. Niners

Don't want KC, Miami, or Buffalo to win.

I am shocked at how ok I would be if Baltimore won, I guess I only hated them as a foil.

Detroit would be amazing.

Rooting preference is Lions Jags Bills Cowboys. I'd actually probably have Buffalo 1 if I thought the Pats would be competitive again soon, but it will sting a bit to see a division team win it all while the Pats are at their lowest point in a while. But I love Josh Allen and all the Bills fans I know. Totally fine if it's time. I've always had a soft spot for the Jags and this version is the most fun since the 90s. My NFL consciousness basically coincides with the last Cowboys win, so I don't really have any sports hate for them beyond thinking Jerry's a creep. And the Lions should go without saying for any non NFC north fan.

Neutral to positive on SF, Balt, Houston. Neutral to negative on Cleveland (they're a ton of fun right now but fuck them for the Watson stuff), Pitt (they just suck and don't deserve to get close honestly), Eagles (like the players, dislike the franchise), NFC South (see Pitt).

A Miami win would really upset me. Chiefs not as much so, but I want them out ASAP as well.

I want the Dolphins to embarrass themselves for porking our pick’em play when they lost to the Titans.

Next, I’m pulling for the Lions but don’t really trust them. Flacco-led Browns would be fun to root for mainly because it shows what a fuck-up it was to trade for Watson.

Similar.

1. Not Kansas City.
2. Fuck Baltimore/Indianapolis/Pittsburgh/Miami forever.
3. Preferably not SF49ers due to championship rivalry with the Patriots.

Preferably an NFC team to make it easier.

I believe that Buffalo in the AFC and Philadelphia in the NFC are a dark horse candidate. I can see a Buffalo/Philadelphia Superbowl.

My binky will be Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC.
For the NFC, I'm cheering on Detriot Lions to make it.

I’ve spent the past 20+ years developing such deep hatred for so many AFC teams. Hard for me to root for any of them. But the Jags, Browns and Texans are the least offensive to me. NFC I don’t really care, any of them are fine by me.

Bills have always been my no.1 team since the OJ days as a kid (HE WAS INNOCENT!!) and I loved the Jim Kelly era. They slipped to no. 2 from Bledsoe on but I also loved the Flutie era (turns out he's a turd too though). But Josh Allen is just a blast to watch. Hoping they play the Lions.

Out of curiosity, why do you (and others) think the Bills fans don't deserve it?

Maybe it's because I have a bunch of friends who are Bills fans, but if you are talking loyalty to the team, % of your life that revolves around the team, that they had to endure four (4!) consecutive super bowl losses, and have never won a Super Bowl.

Is it that they are an intra-division rival? I don't find the team (other than the coach maybe) that 'hateful'.

You're a Pats fan, right? What's your view on jerk off massage joints?

You're VERY right about the Watson stuff, obviously. But that would once again make me wonder what your view is of the trafficking of humans to work in "massage" parlors.

That it's bad, though there was never any real evidence of trafficking in the Kraft case, and our laws on prostitution are generally dumb and counterproductive, but that's for V&N where I'm banned. I'm under no illusions Kraft isn't a dirtbag.

The Browns owner is a fraud, whose company was only not prosecuted for such because they paid almost 100m
Also, who actively pursued a man who was credibly accused of sexual assault by a dozen women, assisted in actions to help keep said player from facing reprecussions. THen the fanbase everyone thinks deserves it embraced said sex offender with open arms.... so yeah, comfortable with it.

Cleveland absolutely did NOT embrace Watson.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Like, not even an iota of an idea. You're just making things up and projecting.

As a lifelong Browns fan who has watched the games with 100s of other Browns fans, I can say for a fact this is unequivocally false.

Browns fans of any age root for laundry. We've had many "end of career" players from rivals like Joe Flacco, Jamal Lewis, etc who killed us for a decade before joining the Browns. We root for them. We root for Watson because he is our QB (or should I say rooted/was our QB). We aren't buying his jersey, denying the allegations against him, and treating him like hes Tom Brady. We root for anyone who puts on a Browns jersey and can lead us to something better than we've had for the last 30 years.

The same way I've had to hold my nose and root for David Wells and Ramiro Mendoza in a Sox uniform.

Laundry.

Lotta people in this thread acting like it would be OK for the Cowboys to win it all.

Can you even imagine how much more obnoxious Cowboys fans - and by extension - all Texans everywhere would be?

It is much, much better for the rest of us if they continue to shit the bed in the postseason.

I'm not worried at all about them winning. They will 100% crap their pants in their first road game, if they even get that far. The combo of Dak, McCarthy and Quinn makes this a lock.

aside from rooting for Detroit, the only other rooting interests I really have are that if Pittsburgh makes it they get embarrassed, by however you would define that, maybe being up 28-0 and blowing it or something swell like that, and that Tyreek Hill shits the bed.

All this stuff is irrational, so I’m not here to knock anybody, but man do I not get Ravens hate in 2023. Yeah, they were a pain in the ass in the painfulish middle part of Brady’s career. But Lamar is awesome (in a way that even the threatened by others’ success Brady fans can’t be threatened by), they just embarrassed the Pats current most hated rival, their best non LJ player is hurt, and there’s not (imo) a significant enough historical level of success recent or otherwise to be tired of them about. They’re almost as uncontroversial of a team as you could be looking at from this field the way I see it. And I’d way, way rather see Lamar hoist the trophy than at least 7 or 8 of the other QBs who’ll be playing in two weeks.

I like Lamar. His game is awesome and he's improved an incredible amount since that first playoff game in SD. I find Harbaugh very grating. And yes, it's a historical thing going back to those early 2010s teams.

I found myself rooting for them pretty hard against both the 49ers and Dolphins and definitely had a “Wait, I’m supposed to hate this team…but why?” moment.
