Dang, Duran got a huge moving lead off second and the pitcher didn't look at him, but he didn't steal. He probably could have walked into third if he had tried it.

Sox can't cash in, foul pop out to third for Raffi, nice play on a hot smash to third by Story, and Masa worked a nice walk. Cron liner to 2nd ends it.

Whit with a nasty breaking ball to get Vaquez chasing to start the second, followed with a walk where he lost the 1-2 advantage. Solid single to right followed, with the runner from first thinking about challenging Duran but almost got himself caught going back to second. Then a K to Goodrum on a nasty slider. Helman with a weak ground ball to Story, out of trouble. 35 pitches, 2 hits, 1 bb, and 3 K's after two. The slider is really sharp and Lou said he hit 95 on his fastball

Solid single to left leading off the bottom for Rafaela. With one out Wong Doubles for runners at first and third. Bases load on a weird violation, clock ran out, ump was calling time while pitch was delivered. York fouled it off the Umps shoulder, and was awarded a walk. Bases juiced, one out, pitching change for the twins.

Whit looks filthy overall. Soft grounder to second, another K on the slider, and a little self preservation on a liner back to the mound, caught at shin level. 48 pitches after 3.

Ceddane hit a fly down the LF line near the pole but short and just foul into the seats, then nearly beat out a very routine grounder to third. This guy is so much fun to watch play.

He really is. He was only out by half a step if that.

Another 12 pitch inning for Whit, K, 3U, and an infield pop. 60 pitches through four. Really nice outing. The stuff is there, and tonight it was nasty.

Wong continues to hit with a bloop single to right center, but is quickly wiped out in a weird DP, Wong tagged and got a little tangled, York actually may have been safe from my eye.

Whit comes out for the 5th, gets a week grounder on two pitches, and is now out. What a welcome outing.

Yeah to be fair I probably insulted that guy with the Duran comparison.
Yeah, skipping takes a lot of touch. Maybe Duran has a fantastic feel for his throws.

It's funny, two years ago, Duran's noodle arm bugged the heck out of me. Last year not so much, and outfield assists are my favorite baseball play.

I was spoiled by Betts and JBJ.

I am guessing you will love watching Rafaela play CF.

Very good at bat by Story after Devers annihilated a baseball.

Story looks to have much better plate discipline this spring than he did at any point after his return last year, to my untrained eye.

I like them all when they put up saves, but there is no player easier to throw under the bus than the closer

Yea, he absolutely sucked, so hopefully was just him getting in work against live hitters in a game setting and they wanted him to throw 15-20 pitches.
