So in a year where tackle is deep, take advantage of that and try to lock down that position for the next decade. Next year there will be wide receivers available mid first round, as there are every year now, and you can go get one if you need to.
Top OL also have longer career peaks than top WRs. So a team really can "lock it down" for a decade. I dont think too many teams are counting on a highly drafted WR to give them 10 really good seasons.

He's watching film. Crazy, I know.
When did he mention film in that tweet? He cited two statistics that are completely fucking useless in the context he's using them.

But hey, if 4-7 on a team that was 3-3 when Jacoby didn't play, and a QB rating of 88.9, with a supporting cast of Chubb (and the 6th best rushing offense), Hunt, Njoku and Amari Cooper is considered "really solid in AVPs offense," then we're fucked. I've watched a shit ton of Brissett tape too, and I don't see much difference between his numbers and his play. He is what he is, a bottom 5 starting QB in the NFL.

I'll be happy to be surprised, but frankly, I hope we never have to see Brissett because the rookie we draft steps in and plays instead.

I like Evan, but I think he's twisting himself into a pretzel to sell himself on Brissett being more than he is, including playing with numbers that support his point.

I mean, here's 40 minutes of Lazar breaking down Mac Jones film and talking about how he's a great fit for the Pats because he does the little things so well, just like Tom Brady:

I do agree that if Jacoby gets 155 yards rushing per game from the Pats running game like he got in Cleveland, he could be a pretty serviceable, almost .500 quarterback. It'll just require the Pats to average 60 more yards per game rushing than they did last year and it'll require KJ Osborn or Pop Douglas to turn into Amari Cooper.

I'm rooting for Jacoby, don't get me wrong. By all accounts, he's a fantastic guy and great teammate. But, he's just not that good at quarterbacking. He's a competent backup.

Bottom 5-7 roster, probably bottom 5-6 QB, tough division, rookie head coach…I just don’t see how more than 5 teams will be worse than them unless the QB is a day one home run

Washington and the Giants could be terrible but they play each other and play the NFC south. The Broncos could be awful. Maybe Tennessee if Levis doesn’t improve. Carolina if Bryce Young doesn’t improve. The Raiders and Chargers might be bad (though I think LAC will overachieve due to Harbaugh) but they’ll be able to beat up on Denver

The Pats offense on paper, with Brissett at the helm, is bottom 3-4 in the NFL and the defense is IMO going to regress with the loss of both Belichicks and by virtue of (likely) not playing a ton of terrible QB’s. The slate of QB’s this defense will face is going to be a lot more daunting than the 2023 D

Other than Carolina and Tennessee, the other teams in dire situations play in divisions where they’re probably going to get a few wins against similarly bad teams.
i see your point about denver but there is a path to 7 or 8 wins for denver IF 1 sweep the NFC South 2 Get LAC early in the year 3 get KC in week 18 if they have nothing to play for
but there is a path to 3 or 4 wins as well road sch is brual 50-50 they go 0-9 away from mile high other than Car there is not 1 team denver has a talent edge on in the 2024 sch
denver will have around 100 mil in cap space for 2025

the best plan of action for denver is draft a guy like bowers at 12 then draft a michael pratt or ratter in 3rd 4th round then tartget Q Ewers TEX in next draft because deion will only allow his kid to play for teams he played for which is why prescott will be a ex cowboy after 2024 deion is gonna to try to force his son to only play for dallas

I know it's early, but where are these 6 wins coming from? Looking at their schedule this year and I’m planning on getting ready to learn a lot about the 1-5 prospects in 2025.

Yes, a lot will change between now and September, but I don't have to squint too hard to see another top 5 pick next year. Their schedule is brutal.

Home Games
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Miami Dolphins
  • New York Jets
  • Houston Texans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • Los Angeles Chargers
Away Games
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Miami Dolphins
  • New York Jets
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Chicago Bears
looking at your guys sch AFC East best case 3-3 worse case 1-5 or 0-6 AFC South worse case 1-3 Best case 3-1 NFC WEST Worse case 1-3 best case 2-2 LAC if u get them late likely L but early likely w @ CHI Toss up @ ciny L Best case 9-8 if this happen mayo is tomiln and u have your next guy for 20 years Wrost case 3-14 and mayo is on a hot seat in 2025

Given Denver’s lack of draft capital this year and the fact that they face Herbert/Mahomes 4 times a year, I don’t see much sense in wasting a 3rd rounder on a Pratt or Rattler.

Pratt is too low of an upside and Rattler is too much of a long term project. They’re better off either taking a big swing this year or waiting til next year and rolling with Stidham to a top 5 pick

With Mayo's talk about character I doubt a pick in his first draft will be a guy arrested a few weeks before the draft.

good points my issure is Nix is the 5th qb off the board at 12 when they couild get a bowers or a num 2 cb because in most draft classes only 1-2 qb's make it and at best denver is drafting anywhere between 3-10 in next year draft
