Dammit
My carefully cultivated office image of "unflappable rock that everyone turns to when things go wrong" is gonna take a huge hit if anyone witnesses me weeping away over here.

Whew. That was cathartic. Kinda glad no one else is home right now.
Finished wiping my eyes and nose just as my wife was coming down the stairs. She gets it but I don't need the teasing she would give me regardless. It's an open shot that I would have to take.

Whatever our gripes, the production team at Fenway knows how to do that stuff and really understands the team's fans. At least this fan. They are really good at this.

So Story is done for the season huh? Fuck.
Yeah. You should check out that nerdy message board for the fucking crazy sox fans. It will make you feel better because even with bad news they write hilarious thread titles.

I could see an argument for giving him his own day in addition to the 2004 team.
Agreed. Make it a day entirely about Wake.

If they had some patience, April 26 of next year would be the 30 year anniversary of his signing with the Sox. May 27 would be the 30 year anniversary of his Red Sox debut.
