How many regular season games do the Patriots play this season?

Seems the prudent thing would be to follow the bubble lead of the NBA, picking a a few host Cities with multiple stadiums. You’d then have divisional teams and their opposite conference opponents in the bubble. For example, the AFC East and NFC West are matched up this year, so you’d have 9...

Yes, I was agreeing with you. They are being extra thorough, so they should catch and isolate quickly. The question will be what happens if you’re a month and a half in and someone gets Giannis the virus, are you really going to play a few games without him? The peer pressure to not ruin this...

You’ve voiced this take in this thread about 10 times now. I think we all know where you stand on it. Many others, including a majority of the league and fan base seemingly have a different take.

I cannot wait to watch NBA basketball again. A healthy Celtics team is going to be so fun, but really just the opportunity to watch the NBA again... wow. My appreciation level for sports, particularly well run sports, is at all-time highs. I watched a goddamn cornhole tournament on ESPN for 20...

    May NHL News

Seems like the NBA and NHL have really left an entire month open (July) when they could have had massive TV viewership ramp up to attract new fans. Maybe the logistics are far harder than I give it credit for, but why each sport needs over a month to start preparations when they’ve thought...

Has it leaked out how the broadcasts will deal with the optics of zero fans? Green screens? Pumped in noise? I have to think the solution will either be VERY cool (mimics the real set you) or VERY awful (so fake) with little middle ground.

It'll be interesting to see how the one location model changes typical behavior like days off in between games. I'm not sure if that favors younger teams, who can presumably play back-backs easier than older teams, or some of the chess matches between coaches in the 7 game series playoffs with...

It will be interesting to see if some of the teams out of the playoffs try to avoid playing, or if there is a difference based on income levels. Kevin Love may have a different mindset than the 15th player on the Cavs. At this point I'd watch HS basketball on TV.

If there are milllions of tests available (and there should be in a month), I suspect the public won’t care and badly wants sports to return that it won’t be a huge issue. Or maybe that’s just me. Clearly some will complain, but people always complain. As always Adam Silver showing he gets it.

great call by you—— and really interesting insight (in real time no less) on the strategy. Like Super Nomario last year on BB looking for big defensive backs. Now it’s positionless athletes.
