The owners current rumored schedule with a 7/29 start date seems very easily defensible with ST camps being shut down due to virus outbreaks in mid-late June. I think it’s a very easy to make the argument that there just wasn’t time to get many more games in.
I went looking for this the other day to see the impact of the lost gate between The NFL and MLB. Its not going to be perfect, but Forbes has these profiles:
It shows the Sox with operating income of $89mm with $199mm in gate revenues...
UFC has to put on 42 events for ESPN to keep the full deal. They need these events. I’d be pretty surprised if this one got a late cancel. Can’t wait to watch Ngannou/Rozenstruik
My gut said Duncan.
Top 7 seasons by BPM
KG: 10.2, 9.5, 8.4, 8.2, 7.8, 6.8, 6.3
Duncan: 8.5, 7.6, 7.6, 7.6, 7.0, 6.1, 5.6
Duncan never led the league, KG did twice.
Not a perfect stat, but also not the result I expected to see.
Nomar for me. The only time I’ve ever walked away from the team. Luckily I was back by September....
Betts is pretty low for me, he’s a likable player but I don’t have a problem with ownership not wanting to put up $400mm.
This is kind of where I ended up tonight. I was slightly disappointed compared to Thursday night. A portion is definitely the Verdugo off field stuff, but the potential of a top end SP was nice to dream on. It probably comes down to where you get your prospect information....I use BP a lot, and...
Do people really like Downs so much more than pre-medicals Brusdar? Seems like so much hate Thursday night and people generally happier now. But the teams valued Graterol higher, hence the inclusion of Wong.
Anyone flip from disappointed Thursday to happy today?
