ZOOM? or Google Hangouts or ?

Starting zoom school today, and an issue that we had ignored in the spring is a problem again-- my daughter uses zoom on an ipad, with the front facing camera, but it mirrors the video, so that when she writes something and holds it up, it all looks backwards. Is there a way either in zoom or...

    Jaylen Brown re-signs for 4 years/$115 million

I could be doing this wrong, but as far as I can tell they had $117m committed for next season even if Brown disappeared (though Hayward opting out may change this, but probably not in a good way). So it's not like they could have spent that 29m on someone else, since they'd be over the cap...

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

There may be a national version of NESN available, but you need to have your region tagged to New England to get sporting events. There's a few more nuances, though-- for all local channels, including NESN/CSNNE (and bruins/celtics/pats games) you need a login from your home area every 3 months...

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

As far as I can tell, it depends on the device. I have mine set up with my home area tagged as VT, and when I watch on my Roku (which doesn't geolocate) from Pittsburgh, I get local VT channels (including Sox, Pats, etc, as long as I've logged in from VT in the last 1-3 months). When I watch...

    2019 Pats: Roster Projection 1.0

Detroit after Savage went down would seem like an ideal landing spot for Hoyer (between Patricia's familiarity with him and having just had an up-close view), but they signed Josh Johnson instead. Which may be an indication the Pats aren't ready to make Stidham their #2 just yet (or just that...

    Moving from iPhone to Android

All those things (other than overcast) will work just fine, and almost identically as before. The biggest differences are ecosystem changes-- if you use iMessage outside of the phone messaging system, you'll lose that (android has a web interface now, but it's a little iffy), and existing text...

    USMNT: Hold My Beer

Wait... so... if you finish 5th or 6th in the hex, you're out entirely? There are 35 concacaf nations, right? So 29 in the group tourney are the non-hex nations, battling for a chance to play the #4 team. That seems so crazy to me that it seems like it must be wrong... why not allow the 5/6...

    Leonard and George to Clippers

They still have Lou Williams too, right? That's a pretty solid roster, but is Zubac the only guy over 6'9"?

    Kemba Walker to Boston

Of course, for this reason you should also be extremely careful about comparing those two groups since they're each normalized to their own peak performance. For all we can tell, short guards are as good or better than tall ones in ages 30-34, but since there are fewer "bad" short guards...

    2019 Patriots: Post-SB Roster Thread

Is this true in football? I know we've had this discussion ad nauseam in baseball, but in that case, games are a very high % of team-related activities, so players are probably spending close to 50% of their work related time out of state. In football, if a player spends all week practicing in...

    The Rosen Thread

With the caveat that this far out a massive number of things can change... it seems likely that Fromm, Tagovailoa, and Hebert could all be top 5 picks next year. Is the class deep after those 3? If not, this strategy only really works if are pretty sure you will be picking right at the top.

Cutting The Cord on Cable/Satellite TV Service?

This is exactly the situation I'm in. I'm now going to be paying ~$90/mo ($40/mo internet only plan from comcast + YTTV). FIOS keeps offering a 2-year deal for cable+gigabit internet for $80/mo, which sounds great, except I'd also have to get 2-3 cable boxes, rent their router, plus fees, etc...

We're Onto the NFL Draft (2019 Prospect Thread)

it's really hard to find good data summarizing this, but I feel like the league has kind of caught up to this particular gambit. Almost all recent 1st round pick trades have either been to get an established player back, or have returned at least one other 1st rounded (e.g., trade up/down, or 2...
