Two quick scores for Brighton, inside of 10 minutes. Maupay has both, one a PK earned by Lamptey. Maupay hasn't been overly reliable from the spot but he put this one right down the middle. Only 10 minutes in; great start.
Looks like they are going all-in on the Peacock. According to livesoccertv.com, which has long been reliable to help me find games, of eight EPL games Saturday and Sunday, six are on Peacock. Grrrrrrr....
Whoa. Jahanbakhsh bicycle kick. Wow.
I don't know a lot about him, but seeing the reaction from him and from his teammates when he finally scored on Saturday, and then that remarkable score right there, hard not to be really happy for the guy.
Nice to have three points in the bag before the sun comes up. Other than the last 10 minutes of the first half, when Bournemouth applied some good pressure, it was a fairly comfortable win for Brighton. As good as Mooy has been this season it's about time he got his first goal. And Dan Burn had...
Ian Darke on the call and Ali Jahanbakhsh with his first goal for Brighton after a year and a half. Only his second appearance this season. What a bonus if they start getting some production from him. Lots of energy in this game so far.
Maupay and Propper on the bench and Lewis Dunk not in the 18 for Brighton. 'Arry Kane had a goal taken away for breathing offside, and Brighton just turned a phantom tackle/yellow card into a goal off the free kick. 1-0.
I'm just delighted for Brighton's two 5:30 a.m. (mountain time) kickoffs in the next three days. Interested to see how many regulars rest at Spurs to be better positioned for a more winnable three points at home against Bournemouth.
