MLB (supposedly) might let trailing team change batters in 9th

In NW Connecticut during the 80's we used ghost man, but we also had the rule that if you caught the ball as it rolled off the roof it was an out.

I have been playing league roller hockey for 20+ years here in CT and I can confirm that the ice equipment is fine. You just need a pair of roller pants.

    Josh Hamilton released by Texas

They could add arbitration year(s) and even it out a bit that way, say make year 2-6 arb years. That would be pretty tough to get by the owners though, what do you think the players would be willing to give up for that change?

A guy on my roller team bought a couple of these earlier in the year (replacing a Bauer Supreme One-9) he broke both of them within the course of a 12 game season. In a roller hockey league with a ball and he isnt even a big slap-shot guy. I can only imagine how long they last with a real puck.

    Bradley: Deal with It.

I agree, it seems like he makes one wherever he plays. That catch in left last night was tougher than it looked with the wall coming into play at full speed. His body control is great to watch.

    The future behind the plate

I agree with Savin, the thing MLB may do to increase offense would be to shrink the strike zone and that would only raise the value of a good framing catcher not decrease it.

All this talk about 2015... What about 2014?

Of course Lester wont be tied to a pick as he can't be offered a QO so your safe on that front. As far as Lester re-signing, I will believe it when there is a press conference..
