Rename the Red Sox AAA Team!

Okay, so I do not care for the choices that were posted as trademarks except for Ruby Legs, the worms one makes me mildly nauseous. So here are a few more offerings and a couple more others posted that I liked (like the Worcester Shires , and Big Papis, The Worcester SoSH ... among others)...

Celebrating What Is, Red Sox Variety

Can I hear an AMEN? !!! Yes! There is an art as well as a science to team-building> IMO it is very important to include David Ortiz (multi-year. multi-championships) contribution as a stellar team-builder in assessing the way Red Sox talent became shared vision and a heartfelt joy in playing...

Dave Dombrowski knows more than you do

Yes he diid and I agree with you, he was clutch at multiple pivotal moments in key games ~ it was great and hope his slump is a memory now

Rename the Red Sox AAA Team!

I like this one. Shame we can't name it after an Indian tribe can we? Apparently Worcester has had baseball since circa 1880s and their team was the Ruby Legs (per Wiki) and, the Indian tribe that settled the area was called the Nipmucs. I like the Worcester Nippers. Also gives a shout out to Al.

Dave Dombrowski knows more than you do

Well , you know, Big D hired Alex Cora. And I have decided that soon when I buy a really nice customized Red Sox top of the line jersey it is going to be number 20. As far as I am concerned, this was the year of a brilliant manager who developed a team that never quit , cohered as a relentless...

    No Game Today

DITTO . So much fun reading the sardonic, savvy, and even the stupid commentary. I miss everyone. Especially Sprowl, the Rev and the moment when the Nip was in the house end of Series.

Chris Sale to Boston for Moncada, Kopech, & 2 Prospects

REALLY GOOD... is that a haiku too? AND DAVID OFRTIZ, PLEASE PLEASE KEEP THINKING AND MAKE IT A ACT...YES! You must have some kind of right of return

Chris Sale to Boston for Moncada, Kopech, & 2 Prospects

Agreed on Sale, and the rationale that he is already highly developed in key position. Jury's still out for me on whether we overpaid with still-developing talent. We need to also consider recruitment. Sometimes players sign with Bo-Sox farm not just to get to the Bigs, but because they really...

    ALDS: Indians vs Red Sox

Amen to that. AND, each time we have had to pass Cleveland for a post season championship, we have done so by coming back from a deficit. No team "picks" a slump...they are part of the absolutely arduous grueling and gutsy legacy of baseball. Does this team have the HEART in service of the...

    ALDS: Indians vs Red Sox

Well, I am no baseball expert, just a long time lover. I am looking at The Cleveland box. Even if they ran away with their division in June with a "14 0r 15 game winning streak" , and even if I sincerely would love for it to be the case (winning by a greater margin , creaming the opponent...

POLL: Drew Pomeranz for Anderson Espinoza

I agree. Also, pitching is our Achilles heel. This is a great trade. All the best to Espinoza. and BTW saw this early AM is likely to make the bullpen a thing of Beauty a little ways out in time ...if prospects stay healthy and train well : a kid that admires Dustin Pedroia's work ethic and...

    Citgo Sign a Landmark

Actually, I was referring to the industry that vitalized our nation, a good book to read about that is FREEDOM'S FORGE by Arthur Herman. However, back in the day, before the excessive corruption and competition to stay alive devoured the industries that produced most of our products along with...

    Citgo Sign a Landmark

This is a question that seems to me to have real merit. Is a skyline sign a part of history? As a 64 year old who was one of the generations of children who excitedly watched for it and other iconic symbols like the nun-painted tanks to appear when approaching the city of Boston, I say yes. It...
