Pats Draft Rd.2/38: DI Christian Barmore

Why can’t it be as simple as Saban told Belichick the pros and cons and Belichick decided a second round pick was worth the risk?

Agreed. There have been some good, free flowing games (Oregon-Iowa, LSU-Michigan as examples) but too many coaches try to keep it close then hit a couple threes. This Gonzaga game has started well and I think the rest of the games today should be good.

They can look really good at times. Great job by Michigan to switch to the zone to throw them off the rhythm. Thought Michigan was the better team the last eight minutes. Should be a good second half.

I’m glad the Kimmich goal was ruled out because Lewandowski was offsides. Lewandowski was offsides and in the way of the shot even if he didn’t touch it.

He could’ve had two within a five minute stretch but ended up with none. Really inexcusable he didn’t get one after that foul on Vela.

2020 Pats: QB Situation Beyond Cam

That’s not a bad theory about Hurts. He played in two systems just like Stidham and he seems to have a lot of the non football qualities that Bill loves - great teammate, always ready, keeps battling.

He was terrible in the first half then the refs gave him every call on the offensive end while getting away with much worse on the defensive end. In the process, he just rubbed me the wrong way.

Didn’t mean to imply it was. It was frustrating watching that game from an officiating standpoint. I came away from that game not a fan of Timme.

In Huggins’ defense, the refs completely changed the way they were calling the game from first half to second half and West Virginia had some awful calls go against them.

Week 10 - Infects With Zaha

There was also a possible handball that helped Villa maintain possession which led to the buildup for the goal. I thought VAR would call that and cancel out the penalty call. Either way, the system is a mess. Goal line technology is great. If everything else was that quick and reliable then...

Your Premier League Leaders (as of right this minute) Southampton! Week 8 game thread

With three straight weeks of European matches (I know they don’t count for card purposes in domestic leagues) there have been so many matches, it felt like Richarlison had been out a while.

Your Premier League Leaders (as of right this minute) Southampton! Week 8 game thread

I think the season really sets up well for teams that have some quality players but no Europe commitments. Villa and Southampton fall in that category. If Wolves didn’t sell Jota they’d be much more dangerous. The Richarlison injury really hurt because they’ve lost their momentum - this...

Greatest not famous athlete you ever saw

He was before my time but I’ve certainly read about him. Another guy Brandon Barrett. He was from the eastern panhandle and a pretty big recruit. Didn’t qualify as a freshman in 2004 but walked on the team eventually. Was the mvp of the 2006 spring game and looked fantastic. But it fell apart...

Greatest not famous athlete you ever saw

I saw Nathan Fields from pretty rural West Virginia clear 7ft in the high jump. They had to get cinder blocks to keep raising it. He cleared 7ft 3 inches at the state meet and just missed an inch higher. Saw him dunks few times, just glided and so effortless.

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

I think Brady is a positive guy by nature. He doesn’t like seeing people die by suicide. I read it as he was saying let’s do our part - wash hands, wear mask - to help lift restrictions so people can return to normal life. It’s a bit naive but not the worse thing in the world.
