How many of these pitchers with one career Red Sox save do you remember (2000-2021)?

I was at that 22-4 game! Man, it was hot as fuck and I think we left in the 7th inning if not earlier, after Nomar had already hit two.

    2021 Knicks: Quickley is Fun

Disclaimer, and I know this makes this maybe a questionable contribution to this thread - I haven't watched the Knicks play at all this year. That said, given how the importance of star power levels up in the playoffs, I feel like the Knicks actually have high potential to be that surprising...

How many of these pitchers with one career Red Sox save do you remember (2000-2021)?

I looked up Jason Shiell because his name rang a bell. We got him off waivers from San Diego, who in turn had acquired him from Atlanta... along with Bret Boone and Ryan Klesko! I thought that was interesting. I also had never looked up Klesko's numbers, I just remember him and Brian Giles being...

C's pick Aaron Nesmith #14 overall

I agree the argument that he got minutes therefore mustve been good is bad. I am going off of what we saw though. The Celtics defense was really good in the playoffs and he was playing many minutes on that very good defense.

C's pick Aaron Nesmith #14 overall

What is this Grant Williams revisionism? He was fantastic defensively in last year's playoffs I thought, or at least legitimately good - which for a rookie is fantastic.

    Analysis of Celtics Games (2020-2021)

My original point wasn't really about 4 versus 5, more about who is protecting the rim especially since the positional distinctions don't matter too much these days. However, even granting that according to BBref Draymond is playing the most 5 of his entire career this season (I believe they...

    Analysis of Celtics Games (2020-2021)

Draymond is one of the best defensive 5s in the league for almost a decade now. What does "he's not a true big" even mean in this context? He plays the 5 and has been a top rim protector for a long time. And are we just ignoring Anthony Davis? What? And Nerlens Noel, you think he's not a great...

    Analysis of Celtics Games (2020-2021)

I think its because in 2021 NBA defense is roughly 75% about how good your big man is.

The trainers aren't causing these injuries. Name an injury that has lingered longer than it should have this year because you think it wasn't being properly treated.

C's pick Aaron Nesmith #14 overall

Do you think this change in technique is just guys getting sloppier or is it related to the fact that stopping for a pullup is no longer in most offensive players' toolbox or some other change in offense?

    Celtics Sign Tacko Fall

It will take a village of big men against Embiid but I think we'd see Kornet before we see Tacko.

So if Kemba is "good", whats that Make Evan?

If he can still go 10/11 or whatever with all those symptoms they should play him as much as he can go, no? Relatedly, this is maybe a very dumb question with an obvious answer but is it clear that 30 minutes is worse for his symptoms than 20 minutes? Like, what is the best way to ramp someone...

Tatum got the bag(5 years, $195 million)

I just think its remarkable what his upside is when you consider that he is having a fantastic season despite: 1) Being one of the highest iso usage players in the league while also 2) being one of the least efficient iso players in the league. How much better does he get when he starts...

Tatum got the bag(5 years, $195 million)

Do you think the difference in defenses over the years will make those actions as effective as they were for Larry?

So if Kemba is "good", whats that Make Evan?

I know its against the spirit of this thread to overreact based on a small sample of games but I think Evan is a good player. 21 points on 10 shots tonight.

I honestly can't remember if I was hesitant about giving up Ryan Gomes for KG but the number of posters who were upset about that was not zero.
