Three True Outcomes, The Bobby Dalbec Thread.

Isn’t it possible they see the future as Devers at DH, Dalbec at 3B, and Casas at 1b?

    Patriot Defense: Ongoing in-season discussion.

But if you run forward, and the defender goes around you, he doesn't know that when you fake a handoff that you're actually faking the handoff and he's opening himself up to getting gashed. I dunno. (apparently!)

Helpful. So it seems to me that one way to maybe better pass protect would be on every play, fire out and engage defenders. Not only would it simulate a run (you could do this on an old-school play-action play, not just an RPO) which would give the defense just a little something extra to think...

    Patriot Defense: Ongoing in-season discussion.

Well....last year with a decent (not great...but decent) defense, they held the Chiefs' offense to 19 points, 3.8 yards per rush, and 4-11 on third downs. And they did this despite committing 4 turnovers themselves. So I know it's a major tall task, but they did ok last year defensively against...

What percentage of plays have the QB behind center these days? It's WAY less than it used to be, right?

    Patriot Defense: Ongoing in-season discussion.

Is the RPO the way a lot of teams run it even legal? So I'm watching this video here: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUGp69L1ryc And at 0:55 there's the Eagles running an RPO play. The ball is being snapped at 2 yards past the big yard line (we can't tell which one). The QB (Wentz)...

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

But honestly, you really couldn't blame Belichick for not foreseeing that Brady could play like this to age *FIFTY*. I mean, come on.

Roberts blew up the Pats on a few occasions this past week so there's still some use for guys like that.

Definitely agree on Manning. He did virtually nothing in his last SB run. He was horrible all season and in the playoffs that year.

Yes absolutely. Brady's had some BAD moments and stretches in the playoffs. Doesn't take away from his greatness. I mean the guy has been in *45* playoff games (!!!!!). He's not all gonna have amazing performances. It's ok to say that he was incredible last year to win a SB, and yet acknowledge...

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

Well the conversation has taken a turn a number of posts ago talking about whether Brady was "gifted" his latest SB, and it led to talking about his play in those games. It's fair fodder for this thread.

    Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

Well NOBODY is saying that Brady accomplished "nothing". It was an incredible achievement and is icing on the Brady GOAT cake. All *I* am saying (not that you're necessarily speaking to me here, but I am in on this convo) is that he played great in the SB and great in the first half of the GB...

@Kliq Being on the road is big, but remember, last year, there were basically no fans in the stands so being on the road was very different than in normal years. And the SB was at "home" for them. Brady's completion percentage over the first three games wasn't good, and the three picks...you...

    2021 Ryder Cup- Whistling Straits

In tennis, some players have never embraced the Davis Cup. McEnroe, however, was one guy who LOVED it. And because he loved it, well, and because he was a great player, but also because he loved it, he was great at it and a perfect guy to have on the Davis Cup team. Honestly, there have to be...
