    2022 Offseason

They also traded Ben Bishop for Erik Cernak and Drouin for Sergachev. Drouin was still in his prime but getting more expensive so more along the lines of trading Douggie but Sergachev is 3yrs younger. Bishop was clearly offloading an expensive aging vet. So two of their current top 4 D were...

    2022 Offseason

Since you explicitly called out my post questioning if they were really in "cap hell" I'd like to point out that the very article you used to support the argument said they had roughly 11M in cap space and needed to fill the back end of the roster plus Douggie, in 2015. If that is cap hell then...

    6/10--NBA Finals G4, Golden State @ Celtics

Team has too many cooks not enough chefs. One of Brown and or Tatum needed to take over the 4th instead of relying on Smart and White and other role players. That was a game for the stars to close instead they disappeared.

    Bruins Fire Cassidy

Sorry Fris appreciate your candor in this thread but are we really quoting BR and random bloggers as proof? The Bs were in salary cap hell much like TB is in salary cap he'll every year which is the best kind of cap hell, having productive players on market value contracts that they can easily...

    Bruins Fire Cassidy

Sadly they are stuck with Foligno thanks to DS, this move is BS.

    Celtics vs. Warriors, NBA Finals

There is a big difference between taking advantage of the Rules Bill Belichick style and taking advantage of Tim Donaghy level officiating. Last night was a clear example of a league wanting a 7 game series. Green was literally tackling players and getting penalties called on said players as a...

Tom Brady to be lead NFL analyst on Fox when he retires

Depends if we get politician Brady, no not in the literal sense but the guy who is very neutral and non-critical, or candid Brady like the guy that killed it on the HBO special that I forget the name of. I have a feeling we will get the former not the latter and he will be pretty lackluster.

Game 3, whalercanes vs. 2022 Conn Smythe Winner Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins

Foligno is basically post concussion broken down Backes without the ability to take an occasional punch which Backes was willing to do likely against Dr. orders. He brings "Veteran presence" on a team filled with veterans. I wonder what the VOVP is when you have more than 10 playoff veterans...

Game 2 @CAR: Not So Fast

For the offseason? Sway deservedly or not will be starting game 3. Normally I'd say get him some work but CAR might put 4 by him the way this game is going. Best to let Ullmark take the lumps and let Sway get a clean shot at home.

Game 2 @CAR: Not So Fast

Fuck this garbage league. B's getting the extra 2 twice is such bullshit.

    Pats 2022 draft class

I think you missed the part about Bush tearing his ACL in 2020. Came back last year but wasn't the same player pre-injury. Don't think this should be the litmus test for draftnik analysis.

    Patriots select WR Tyquan Thornton

Emmanuel Sanders is 3 inches shorter at the same weight. That is an entirely different body type. DeVonta Smith is probably closest in body type but very different skill sets. Perhaps this guy breaks the mold, there always has to be a first but when you are X tall and only weigh Y there is...

    Patriots select WR Tyquan Thornton

Devonta might have a similar build but was/is known as an elite route runner. He didn't test at the combine due to covid but I would have been willing to bet he would have crushed Thornton in the 3 cone while running in the 4.4s which is more than adequate for a productive WR. Thornton is one...

    2022 NFL Draft Game Thread-Day 2

Seems like an over correction to go Thornton when they did, Nkeal was slow and big so lets get literally the fastest and thinnest WR available. Problem is the track record for success with that profile is non-existant. Best case scenario is a healthy Will Fuller or Robby Anderson, the lists of...

    Patriots select WR Tyquan Thornton

Will Fuller is probably his best comp. The list of WRs over 6'0 and under 190 lbs is incredibly small. I think I'd like the pick better if he was 5'10". That lean a frame seems like a recipe for injury prone career.

    2022 NFL Draft Game Thread-Day 2

At this point how can you not feel bad for Malik Willis. He probably thought he'd be set for life a couple days ago and who knows where he ends up at this point but he has lost millions in potential earnings.

    2022 NFL Draft Game Thread-Day 2

Betting on a BB 2nd rd WR vs. a 1st rd OL? Not to mention if Ty succeeds he'll be a unicorn, the list of 6'3" 185wrs that make it is insanely small.

    2022 NFL Draft Game Thread-Day 1

I'm not so sure esp this year where that 6th is basically a UDFA. Plus you lose a year of control dropping from 1st to 2nd rd. Is that worth a high 4th and 6th in this years draft? Doesn't seem like a steal to me.
