The Game Goat Thread: Wk. 4 @ Green Bay

Lost the game when the DBs played off on what was probably going to be another run.

Brewers bullpen blowing it again. If they lose I think that puts SD in the playoffs and the Phillies on the brink.

Even worse for the Mets is that Sandy has been scratched from the Marlins season finale against the Braves. Sounds like the Marlins might just give that game away. Also in Marlins news, the Marlins rallied last night against the Brewers... which given that the Phillies own the tiebreaker is huge.

Unlikely but at least they will sell a ton of tickets and advertising.

    Judge’s March To 62 Homers

It seems that way. Same deal if #62 was an ITPHR, as unlikely that would be.

    Judge’s March To 62 Homers

I'd expect the Orioles to walk him too, as long as they aren't eliminated. With the Mariners Marinering they still have a shot.

Kyrie is hurt and we have schadenfreude

The dumb thing about it is that I'm sure Kyrie could have found someone to not administer the vaccine... if you get what I'm saying. I'm sure there are a ton of high profile athletes who did that. Hell I bet the team doctor would have been willing. Kyrie just wants to be an attention whore.

Looked at the NL Wild Card, and the Brewers aren't dead yet. They do lose the tiebreaker to both SD and Philly which could prove costly. But Philly is on the road for the remainder of the season and SD has to play LAD. The Brewers do have to play the Cardinals for a two game set and if they won...

The Os have 10 games left and they are 5 games back basically. They lose the tiebreaker to Tampa too. Not impossible but getting to the point where it seems pretty unlikely they could catch either.

This would be an all timer, when you factor in that the Orioles have a fairly tough schedule too. Maybe the Orioles will get lucky and the Yankees will take a break.

I expected the Mariners to Mariner but they have a 4 game cushion and an easy schedule with 14 to go. It's not like the Orioles have played that great either. They are 8-10 in September.

    Only God Can Judge Judge

#63 would be worth quite a bit of money... so maybe?

    Judge’s March To 62 Homers

The crazy thing is that it seems like it's always when the Yankees need the runs. It's not like it's 15-2.

    Judge’s March To 62 Homers

Judge is also creeping up on the batting title. I'd say it's still unlikely but he has a shot at the Triple Crown.

That's some bullshit at the end of the second Cards-Reds game. Cards runner on third pretty deliberately runs outside of the base path so the throw home would hit him and he continues on and scores. https://bdata-producedclips.mlb.com/d2093fcf-f12a-4c6e-991c-0389ca02f012.mp4

2022 Patriots in-season news and moves thread

The Stadium is kind of in the middle of nowhere. I could see people being unwilling to drive out to the boonies to go to a game if the team turns real bad.

Cleveland's schedule is fairly light after that though and the Twins still have 6 to play the White Sox and the White Sox have to play SD too. I think if you are Min or CWS you are thinking sweep or bust to even get in the conversation.
