    Your First Sports Illustrated Issue

It's been done at least one other time. As I was buying it in 2019 I thought, this is probably the last physical issue I'll ever purchase.

    RIP Bill Russell

This was about 20 years or so ago, when I was in middle school. Somehow I heard that Bill Russell was doing a book signing at a nearby mall, but I had a school band concert that night. So we finished up and Dad and I rushed over to the mall, me still in my rented cheap band tuxedo. We got...

I can't believe that he stole Keith Law's trade value bit.

    2022 PGA Tour

So glad LIV ended yesterday to clear the field for a terrific day of golf. Start the day with the US romp in the Curtis Cup, end it with an awesome national open. Watching the ANWA in years past and going to it this year has really sparked my interest in the women's amateur game, and this...

2022 PGA Championship - Southern Hills

You and me both. Anytime I see Rory with a wedge at the PGA I think of that shank of the scoreboard on the practice tee from... Bellrieve?

    Matt Ryan traded to Colts

So in the past 12 months the Falcons have managed to turn the two best players in franchise history into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks. Awesome.

    Joe Buck leaving Fox

That’s true, but I think the Masters uses a few ESPN people for Thursday and Friday. Like SVP in Butler Cabin and I know Rinaldi used to do interviews, but he’s no longer with ESPN. SVP definitely did play by play for the PGA and it was very well received.

    Joe Buck leaving Fox

I wonder if Buck will call the Masters and PGA Championship for early rounds that ESPN has. I wouldn't mind it as long as Scott Van Pelt still has a big role. He's fantastic for golf.

    NFL’s new HMA plans

I assume that there would be UN sanctions if we tried to export the Atlanta Falcons into the developing world.

Pearl Jammin' with Grandpa, the Bill Simmons Thread

I read this and wasn't sure if you meant Loman or Tannen. Having a corrupt empire built on sports gambling winnings seems feasible for a Simmons.

    Rethinking Barstool?

Yes, and also it just seems like the “good” Barstool employees like PFT or Chaps have to trot out and try to cover for Portnoy every few months.

    Rethinking Barstool?

Wonder how much longer it'll be before they trot out the types like PFT or Chaps to say again how that doesn't represent the company, women love to work here, hey look our CEO is woman, etc.

The 2021 World Series: Braves vs. Astros

I'm not far behind you. Having two young kids has killed my ability to stay up for games like this. I'm pathetic.

2021 NLDS - ATL vs. MIL

There was once a time where I couldn't understand why the Braves signed Freddie to an extension but not Jason Heyward. I think I may have been wrong.
