2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

I think he may have spent a little too much time perfecting his Call of Duty skills. Summer League is a tiny sample but obviously you still want your prospects to excel, or at least hold their own. Bronny has been as bad as you can possibly be, its making his dud season at USC not look like an...

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

The Lakers and other Bronny supporters like to say he was playing out of position at USC (and I guess at Sierra Canyon in HS too). What is his position?

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

I know, it's true. It's sometimes amazing to think that these guys in summer league were all elite high school players and mostly elite college players (aside from Bronny of course). They're still sooooo far below the Celtics top 6.

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

Physically a bit. I think Bona can actually play out in space a bit more than RWIII. But Rob actually has a pretty good basketball sense, he can pass, see the floor, move to open spots, anticipate well on D etc. Bona has no idea what he is doing out there.

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

Bona is a nice 2nd round flier. If he ever figures out how to play basketball, he could be a monster. On the flip side, wouldn't surprise me at all if he is looking for his passport in a few years. Or trying out for TE/DE in the NFL.

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

I feel bad for him in a way, he's obviously very overmatched, even in Summer League. Certainly as a drafted player with a guaranteed contract, he sticks out like a sore thumb. It's going to be a very long road to an actual NBA career as a 6'1" 3 and D guy who cant shoot or dribble (and doesn't...

NY Knicks 2024-25: OG And The Wildcats

This is an under appreciated part of Brunson's story. Yes he had a great year. And no, he is not as vulnerable to a fall off as the really tiny IT-like guards. But it's not a given he is an All-NBA guy next year, or honestly even that great in 2-3 years. Most likely he left some $ on the...

    Team USA 2024

Haha, was mostly said in jest. Plus, who even knows how Flagg will look at Duke. A lot can happen in a year though. If the Celtics aren't going for a 3-peat and new ownership isn't excited about a massive tax bill, there will likely be changes. More than likely, it will be on the edges or with...

    Team USA 2024

Haliburton had a legit injury. Wasn’t bad, but definitely enough to knock him out for a couple weeks. Luka just wanted an excuse and some attention. He was never hurt… sore, tired, and out of shape.

Jaylen for the #1 pick (i.e. Flagg) could solve A LOT of $ issues for the Celtics in a year. Just saying....

Wyc ownership group planning to make Celtics available for sale

Out of curiosity, do people assume Wyc and co would still be selling this offseason for estate planning reasons regardless of the other team circumstances? I get the timing makes sense with the huge lux tax issues coming up plus the sense of accomplishment with Banner 18, but in an alternate...

Wyc ownership group planning to make Celtics available for sale

Maybe Pags either wants it all or he wants out. If he doesn't win the bid he will be selling his portion along with Wyc? Just a guess, I am still unclear who owns what % and how the entire thing is currently set up.

Celtics Offseason 2024 - Wake Me Up When September Ends

The 3 pt shooting was a bummer and he likes to turn it over, but he is only 21 and averaged 21, 9 and 5 in the G-League. Plus a very good athlete, maybe still some actual upside. At least as much as a 2 way for anyone else I guess. Bronny will be lucky to ever have a G-league season that good.

    Top 10 Boston athletes

It's not really Lakers related, the Lakers haven't been good enough for that recently. The Celtics are definitely disliked in LA, but thats not the main reason the Celtics are a big thing. In general, basketball in LA is big and the Celtics are the best team in basketball. Maybe in Boston...

    Top 10 Boston athletes

As a Boston sports fan living in Los Angeles... is this true? Especially re: the Red Sox? I get the NFL is king in general, but the Pats enthusiasm at the Boston sports spots here in LA is pretty low, the Red Sox even less. The Celtics are definitely the biggest Boston team in LA right now...

    2024 NBA General Offseason Thread

To add to this from Jones' perspective, 3/27 in Dallas is as much or more than 3/30 in LA. 13.3% tax rate in CA. I think they just passed something to make it 14.3% for people earning over 1M too.

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

I think Bronny is the first player in basketball history that gets labeled intelligent for not throwing the ball directly to the other team and standing generally near someone on D. Not picking on you, I am probably in the minority, but most games he doesn’t do much of anything on the court...

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

Only catching the tail end of the Lakers game.... but what I've seen and the stat sheet is more of the same from Bronny, looks like he did at USC. I don't think he was an undraftable prospect (though the contract was definitely excessive), but he has a long way to go. Hopefully a year in the...

2024 NBA Summer League - The Baylor and Bronny version

First of all, very cool and good luck to him! Hope he lands something awesome HRB and others can offer far more than I can, just as a quick reminder, the Wynn/Encore is open to the public. At least the casino, sports book, restaurants, lobby shops etc. You can spend all day there without having...
